International orders dominated the Q1FY27 order inflow of the conductor business of Apar Industries Ltd.
In a release, Apar Industries Ltd said that the company’s conductor business saw new order inflow of Rs.5,245 crore in the first quarter (Q1: April to June) of FY27. Of this, large orders exceeding Rs.2,800 crore were placed by two major overseas electric utility companies, with a delivery period spread over next four years, reinforcing the investments behind transmission capex globally.
Here are some Q1FY27 performance highlights across various divisions:
Conductors
- Pending order book was Rs.10,190 crore, out of which exports accounted for 56.8 per cent.
- Premium product mix was higher at 50.3 per cent in Q1 FY27 as against 43.7 per cent in Q1FY26.
- Sales volume for Q1FY27 was 53,279 tonnes, down 6.7 per cent from Q1FY26. Surge in metal prices impacted order booking and delivery schedule of orders in hand.
- US revenue in Q1FY27 showed a 34 per cent decline over Q1FY26.
Transformer Oil
- Volume in Q1FY27, at 1,29,085 KL (kilo litre), was 13.7 per cent lower than 1,49,497 KL in Q1FY26.
- Production was lower at Apar’s UAE facility mainly due to the Middle East crisis resulting in closure of Hamriyah port. Also lower allocation by oil suppliers in the month of April affected volumes, which however, got restored subsequently.
- Domestic transformer oil volume was down 6.2 per cent while global transformer oil volume fell 8 per cent, with respect to Q1FY27 over Q1FY26.
Cables
- Revenue from operations, at Rs.1,838 crore in Q1FY27, was 29.5 per cent higher than Rs.1,419 crore in Q1FY26. By the same comparison, US revenue was up 2.5 per cent.
- Pending order book, as of June 30, 2026, stood at Rs.1,925 crore — a 16.5 per cent increase over Rs.1,653 crore as of June 30, 2025.
