The outstanding order book of Atlanta Electricals Ltd touched a record high of Rs.2,451 crore as of December 31, 2025, riding on a solid Rs.796-crore order inflow in the third quarter (Q3: October to December) of FY26.
In a release, Atlanta Electricals Ltd said that its order book, as of December 31, 2025, touched Rs.2,451 crore, marking an all-time high in the company’s history.
The order book was dominated by power transformers with a share of 82.5 per cent. The remainder was mainly accounted for by auto transformers (7.3 per cent) and inverter duty transformers (IDT) with a 5.2 per cent share.
During the current fiscal year, AEL’s order book has seen a steady increase from Rs.1,584 crore as of June 30, 2025 to Rs.2,069 crore as of September 30, 2025, and now to Rs.2,451 crore.
In Q3FY26, the company saw an order inflow of Rs.796 crore, which entailed a significant order worth Rs.298 crore from state utility Gujarat Energy Transmission Company Ltd (GETCO) for 25 high-capacity transformers, inclusive of 21 units of 220/66kV, 160 MVA transformers. AEL also received an order valued at Rs.134 from Adani Green Energy Ltd for the supply of inverter duty transformers.
New growth chapter
According to Niral Patel, Chairman & Managing Director, Atlanta Electricals Ltd, “Q3FY26 marks the beginning of a new growth chapter for Atlanta Electricals. Over the past 18 months, we invested significantly to expand our manufacturing capacity to 63,060 MVA – nearly a fourfold increase. This quarter, we are seeing these investments translate into results.
Looking ahead, our investment phase is largely complete. The focus is on driving capacity utilization to unlock operating leverage benefits. The transformer industry is at a structural inflection point with Rs.9.6 trillion of transmission investment planned through 2032. And Atlanta Electricals is well-positioned to capture this multi-year growth opportunity.”
Capacity expansion
Atlanta Trafo Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AEL, represents Atlanta’s erstwhile joint venture with Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co (BTW) of China – BTW Atlanta Transformers Pvt Ltd. AEL acquired full ownership of the joint venture in April 2025.
Atlanta Electricals Ltd currently has a manufacturing capacity of 63,063 MVA spread across five locations – four in Gujarat and one in Karnataka. (See table). Together, these units have seven NABL-accredited testing laboratories, which include three of Atlanta Trafo.
