Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, in a presentation filed on stock exchanges, said that its cumulative order inflows during the first nine months (9M: April to December) of FY26 surpassed Rs.45,900 crore.
These order inflows (net of taxes) were dominated by power sector-related mandates that accounted for 76 per cent. The remainder was taken up by the “Industry” vertical and exports.
It may be mentioned that BHEL classifies power transmission-related orders under the “Industry” category.
The Central PSU engineering major stood on an order book of over Rs.2,22,800 crore, as of December 31, 2025. Once again, the power sector dominated with a share of 80 per cent.
According to information earlier released by BHEL but not contained in the latest presentation, order inflows declined marginally during 9MFY26, on a year-on-year basis. In 9MFY25, BHEL had reported order inflows of Rs.47,947 crore.
The order book, as of December 31, 2025, was, however, at least 39 per cent higher than the comparable level in 2024, which stood at Rs.1,60,157 crore.
