CEA, IIT-Roorkee sign MoU for knowledge sharing in power sector

Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee have signed an MoU to foster collaboration in knowledge sharing in the power sector.

A government release said that the MoU, signed on July 1, 2025, aimed at fostering collaboration in knowledge sharing, capacity building, and interdisciplinary research in the power and energy sector.

 

The MoU was signed by Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA, and Prof. Kamal Kishore Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, in the presence of senior officials of both organizations.

Both organizations will also collaborate on the sharing of data, facilities, and research outcomes based on mutual consent and in line with confidentiality agreements

This partnership underscores the government’s focus on fostering academic-industry collaborations to accelerate innovation, policy formulation, and technical interventions in the power sector, the release said.
