EV charger manufacturing company, EVERTA, has announced the launch of its high-performance DC chargers.
The company aims to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption by delivering faster and more reliable charging infrastructure across the country.
Manufacturing facility
EVERTA is establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bengaluru which will be operational by Q3 of 2025. This facility enables localized production of a wide range of high-performance DC chargers, from 60kW to 320 kW and beyond, catering to diverse EV charging needs including urban 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers, and heavy-duty fleets like buses and trucks. EVERTA aims to strengthen the domestic supply chain, reduce reliance on imports, and contribute towards a sustainable EV infrastructure and plans for a domestic value addition (DVA) of over 50%, with a goal of 100% localization over the next few years. The company plans to create 400~450 direct and indirect jobs across manufacturing, deployment, and service sectors, a release from EVERTA said.
Supporting the shift to e-mobility
Benny Parihar, Managing Director, EVERTA, said, “Our entry into the EV charging sector is an important step to support India’s growing shift to electric mobility. We’re focused on building charging solutions that are not only reliable but also tailored to Indian conditions and customer needs. We see this as a contribution to India’s broader energy and mobility goals, aligned with Atmanirbhar & Viksit Bharat mission. Our aim is simple: to make EV charging easier, better, and more accessible for everyone”.
Aiming at 3,000 chargers by 2027
Manasvi Sharma, CEO, EVERTA, said, “With operations set to commence from Q3 this year, our focus will be to create a robust network of EVERTA DC chargers and its seamless operations. Our service-led strategy emphasizes on unparalleled uptime, user-friendly interfaces, and dedicated support for the customers. With aim to deploy 3,000 chargers annually by 2027, we are committed to building a seamless charging experience for every EV user”.
Technology partnership
EVERTA has entered into a technology partnership with StarCharge, a global leader in EV charging with over 2 million units deployed across 60 countries, serving major auto OEMs and infrastructure providers. Under the Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA), EVERTA will be manufacturing, commissioning, and provide service support to its DC fast chargers across India.
Market share
EVERTA aims to capture a 15% market share of DC chargers by 2030 to power 4 million electric cars, buses, and trucks which directly supports the government’s target of 30% new EVs on the road. This necessitates a massive expansion of charging infrastructure through strategic partnership with charge point operators (CPO), Fleet operators, and businesses.
