Exide Industries signs strategic cooperation agreement with ExCom GmbH

Exide Industries Ltd and ExCom Energy Solutions GmbH (ExCom GmbH), Germany, have entered into a long-term strategic cooperation agreement for the industrial battery and energy storage systems across the European Economic Area (EEA).

Products offered under this cooperation will be marketed and sold under the ExCom brand, a release by Exide Industries said.

The agreement, signed on September 15, 2026, establishes a close commercial and technical collaboration between the two companies. The cooperation will cover the EEA market. ExCom GmbH will act as the central commercial and technical interface for customers in the region, leading customer development, distribution, technical project support, and after-sales coordination.

The partnership will initially focus on traction and motive-power battery solutions serving material-handling equipment, logistics operations, and other industrial mobility applications, as well as stationery battery systems for industrial, infrastructure and energy storage applications.

By combining Exide India’s extensive manufacturing capabilities, broad technology portfolio, and decades of expertise in industrial battery solutions with ExCom GmbH’s market presence, application engineering capabilities, and local customer support, infrastructure, the collaboration aims to deliver enhanced value to customers across the EEA, the release said.

The cooperation is designed to provide customers with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions encompassing battery systems, charging technologies, system integration, application engineering, and lifecycle services. Products and solutions will be tailored to meet the specific technical, regulatory, and operational requirements of customers throughout the EEA, the release added.

Based in Germany, ExCom Energy Solutions GmbH is an energy solutions company specializing in industrial battery systems, motive power application, charging technologies, advanced chemistry solutions, and stationary energy storage systems.
