The cables business of Havells India Ltd recorded a year-on-year growth of over 12 per cent during the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY26.
In a release, Havells India said that its cable business recorded revenues of Rs.2,028 crore in Q2FY26, which was 12.4 per cent higher than Rs.1,805 crore in Q2FY25.
Here is a summary of how other business divisions fared:
- Switchgears business grew by 8 per cent to Rs.595 crore in Q2FY26 as against Rs.551 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year
- Lighting and Fixtures business grew by 7.4 per cent to reach Rs.420 crore in Q2FY26 from Rs.391 crore Q2FY25
- The Electrical Consumer Durables business was at Rs.841 crore in Q2FY26 as against Rs.856 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
- Lloyd business was at Rs.479 crore in Q2 FY26 as against Rs.587 crore in Q2FY25
- Other business grew by nearly 18 per cent to Rs.403 crore in Q2FY26 as against Rs.342 crore in the same quarter of FY25
Decent performance
Commenting on the performance Anil Rai Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Havells India Ltd, said, “Q2 delivered decent performance, however summer products continue to experience weakness. Encouraged by the recent GST rate rationalisation by the government, we are optimistic for improvement in consumer sentiments and demand going forward.”
