Jakson Infra has secured an EPC contract from Resonia for building a 400kV transmission line in Karnataka.
In a release, Jakson Infra said that the Rs.128.21-crore contract entails supply and construction of “Element 1B (Middle Section)” of the 400kV double-circuit (quad) Jagalur-Kadakola transmission line in Karnataka.
The awarded section covers a route length of around 90.07 km, and the contract is scheduled for completion in 23 months.
The project forms part of a larger transmission scheme involving the establishment of a 400kV substation at Hampapura and associated transmission lines in Mandya district, awarded to Resonia Ltd by REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.
As part of the contract, Jakson Infra will execute the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the designated transmission line section. Once completed, the project will enhance Karnataka’s transmission capacity, improve grid reliability, and support the state’s growing energy demand.

Hampapura project
As reported by tndindia.com on June 1, 2026, Resonia Ltd formally acquired project SPV “Hampapura Power Transmission Ltd.” From bid process coordinator RECPDCL on May 30, 2026. Earlier, in an exclusive report on January 31, 2026, tndindia.com had reported Resonia emerging L1 for the Hampapura intrastate-TBCB scheme, getting the better of four other bidders.
