Rajesh Power lands new power T&D orders in Gujarat

Rajesh Power Services Ltd (RSPL) has announced the winning of power T&D-related orders, valued at over Rs.275 crore, in Gujarat.

In notifications to stock exchanges, Rajesh Power said that it has won two orders – one from Gujarat state discom Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (MGVCL) and another from an undisclosed private entity – together valued at Rs.277.62 crore, inclusive of taxes.

The MGVCL order entails converting existing 11kV high-tension network to underground cable or medium voltage covered conductor (MVCC) under “Systems Improvement (SI)” scheme in the Mehmadabad, Anand, Petlad and Nadiad areas falling under MGVCL’s purview.

This order, valued at Rs.182.62 crore, is scheduled for completion in 12 months.

The second mandate, placed by a private entity, involves supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an undisclosed number of 400/33kV and 66/33kV substations in Gujarat. This order also has a gestation period of 12 months, and is valued at Rs.95 crore.

DGVCL order

It may be mentioned that earlier this month, Rajesh Power Services Ltd secured a similar UG cabling/MVCC order from another Gujarat state discom. This turnkey contract worth Rs.143.11 crore was placed by Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (DGVCL). With a scheduled completion period of 18 months, the contract involves the conversion of the existing 11/22kV HT overhead network into an underground cable/MVCC system under the SI (System Improvement) scheme at Valsad City, Valsad Rural, and Surat Rural regions under DGVCL.
