Skipper Ltd has recorded its highest-ever outstanding order book of over Rs.10,000 crore, as of September 30, 2026.
In a release, Kolkata-headquartered Skipper Ltd, operating in the power T&D and polymer space, said that its closing order book of around Rs.10,066 crore as of September 30, 2026, was the highest-ever in the company’s history. This order book was dominated by the domestic market with a share of 83 per cent.
In the first half (H1: April to September) of FY27, new order inflow stood at Rs.3,786 crore, up 17.5 per cent from Rs.3,220 crore in H1FY26.
New order inflows in the current year were bolstered by large EPC orders in the domestic market, including those placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The Q2FY27 period saw the company securing three 765kV transmission line projects in the domestic market. The new order inflow in Q2FY27, at Rs.2,111 crore, was over 70 per cent higher than that in Q2FY26.

Export orders
In Q2FY27, Skipper landed around Rs.1,054 crore of export orders, mainly from Australia and North America, making it the highest in any quarter so far. The company has also diversified its order book with Middle East, an erstwhile dominant region, now accounting for just 18 per cent, while developed markets – Australia and North America – currently wielding a majority share.
In fact, to further its global presence, particularly in developed countries, Skipper recently established its subsidiary in USA, adding to those existing in Brazil and UAE.
Bidding pipeline
Skipper anticipates a bidding pipeline of over Rs.35,000 crore, thanks to strong traction in both the domestic and international markets.
EPC division
As of September 30, 2026, the EPC division of Skipper was executing around 5,500 ckm of EHV and HVDC transmission line contracts. During Q2FY27, Skipper successfully charged the 765kV Sikar II – Khetri line (of about 144 km) in Rajasthan.
Capacity expansion
Skipper’s current transmission tower manufacturing capacity stands at 3,75,000 tonnes per year and is spread across three units — all located in Kolkata. Further capacity expansion of 75,000 tonnes per year is underway and likely to commission during the second half (H2: October to March) of FY27, taking the total capacity to 4,50,000 tonnes per year.
Sustaining the growth momentum
According to Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Ltd, “Despite geopolitical developments in West Asia impacting exports during the period, our business fundamentals remain strong, supported by a record closing order book of over Rs. 100,657 million and an all-time high bidding pipeline exceeding Rs.350,000 million. We remain focused on sustaining our growth momentum, strengthening profitability and expanding our presence across domestic and international markets.”
Wider global reach
“During the period, we secured our highest-ever quarterly export order inflows of Rs.10,540 million and a multi-million-dollar contract in North America, our largest order to date in the region, further strengthening our international presence. The ongoing 75,000 MTPA (metric tonne per annum) capacity expansion is on track and likely to be commissioned and operational by H2FY27, taking our total installed capacity to 450,000 MTPA from existing 375,000 MTPA. With the establishment of our US subsidiary, complementing our presence in Brazil and the UAE, we are well positioned to deepen our global reach and capitalise on emerging opportunities across key markets,” noted Devesh Bansal, Director, Skipper Ltd.
