Sterling and Wilson wins mega solar order from NTPC REL

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWRE) has announced the winning of a mega solar EPC contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC-REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC.

The contract valued at Rs.2,212 crore relates to NTPC-REL’s upcoming 1,255 MW(ac) / 1,568 MW (dc) solar project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

 

This is SWRE’s single largest domestic order till date.

 

SWRE emerged as the L-1 bidder in a competitive bidding against the tender invited by NTPC REL and was awarded the contract on October 1, 2022, SWRE said in a release.

The project scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the aforementioned solar power project, along with a 3-year O&M contract.
