Sterling and Wilson Solar Ltd (SWSL) has signed orders worth A$300 million (around Rs.1,600 crore) in Australia. The orders, signed along with the company’s branch and Australian subsidiary, involves two large-scale solar projects, with a total installed capacity of over 300 mw, in Australia.
The new projects have been secured from global independent power producers, the work for which is expected to commence immediately.
SWSL already has three projects of over 800 mw under construction in the region.
With the new wins, the order book of SWSL in Australia stands at five projects aggregating 1,100 mw.
SWSL has been executing projects globally and has to its credit more than 10.6 GW of solar power projects (commissioned and under various stages of construction) in various geographies.
This portfolio includes a 1,177-mw Solar PV plant in Abu Dhabi – the world’s largest single-site solar plant. The company also manages a portfolio of 7.4 GW of O&M projects globally,.
In May this year, SWSL had reported the winning of its largest order in Australia. (Read more.)
