Tata Power-DDL signs MoU with Power Sector Skill Council for capacity building

 

 

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (Tata Power-DDL) and Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly spearhead skill development training & capacity-building programs for the power distribution sector in India and abroad.

The objective of the MoU is to provide a framework for cooperation between Tata Power-DDL and PSSC, facilitating the co-creation, development, and imparting of courses for training and skill development for personnel in the power industry/state utilities and other organizations.

 

The MoU was signed by Praveen Agrawal, Chief – Human Resource, Industrial Relations, Social Impact Group, Facility Management & Health Services of Tata Power-DDL and Dr. V.K. Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Power Sector Skill Council in the presence of senior officials from both the organisations in New Delhi. (from L to R in featured photograph)

 

This significant collaboration envisions a long-term partnership in the areas of training & human resource development, joint assignments, conferences, seminars, training programs, competency development, real-time simulation programs, joint studies & surveys, knowledge sharing, and action plans identified by both parties, and various other areas of mutual interest.

Enhancing capabilities

Speaking on the collaboration, Praveen Agrawal, Chief – Human Resources, Industrial Relations, SIG, FM and Health Services, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited said, “With a pre-established proficiency in on-site and off-site training domain, this MoU will enhance our training and research capabilities within the power sector with a specific focus on skill building across various state utilities. We are privileged to partner with PSSC, elevating our training standards and fostering a mutually beneficial knowledge-sharing & skill building collaboration. I am confident that together, we will build a comprehensive repository of distinctive knowledge, equipping our trainees with the technical and tactical expertise required for future readiness.”
