Techno Electric wins data centre mandate from RailTel

Techno Electric & Engineering Company Ltd (Techno) has received the letter of intent from RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) to set up a 10-MW data centre on RailTel’s land at Noida, in Uttar Pradesh.

In a stock exchange filing, Techno said that the mandate is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions in the letter of intent, and signing of the contractual agreement.

Techno’s selection took place through an open tender process. As per the contract terms, Techno will act as a “Managed Service Data Centre Partner” on revenue-sharing basis.

The duration of the contract will be 30 years, inclusive of 24 months for project implementation.

As the contract is based on fixed percentage (undisclosed by Techno in the filing) of revenue sharing, the quantum of the order is indeterminate as of now.
