Torrent Electricals, the electrical products vertical of Torrent Group, has announced the launch of its switchgear portfolio along with its refreshed brand identity at a launch event held in Ahmedabad.
The announcement marks a key milestone in the company’s evolution, reinforcing its focus on modernisation, safety, and future-ready electrical solutions, while also increase its presence in the fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) segment.
The new brand identity reflects Torrent Electricals’ progression in response to the changing demands of India’s electricals market. The updated brand expression is designed to align with the company’s emphasis on reliability, protection, and long-term performance across its expanding product portfolio.
Building FMEG presence
The current launch builds on the company’s presence in the FMEG segment, with the formal introduction of its switchgear portfolio, marking a structured and strategic expansion of its product offerings. As part of the launch, Torrent Electricals introduced its switchgear range comprising miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs), isolators, and distribution boards. The portfolio has been developed to support a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial applications, with a focus on consistent performance, operational safety and system protection.
Updated packaging for wire range
In addition to the switchgear portfolio, the company also unveiled refreshed packaging for its wire range, covering FR, HRFR, FR-LSH, and HFFR variants. The updated packaging has been designed to enhance on-shelf visibility and clearly communicate key safety and performance attributes, while maintaining alignment with the new brand identity.
Innovation Centre
Torrent Electricals has also strengthened its innovation capabilities with the establishment of a state-of-the-art Innovation Centre in Ahmedabad. The facility is expected to play a critical role in product development, testing, and future innovation across FMEG categories.
