Transrail Lighting Ltd has announced the winning of fresh orders worth Rs.412 crore, taking the FY27 cumulative inflow to over Rs.2,000 crore.
In a release, Transrail said that it has secured new orders worth Rs.412 crore in its core transmission & distribution (T&D) business. Post these new orders, the order intake for the year has grown to Rs.2,021 crore, the release noted, adding that the company is also placed L1 in orders valued at Rs.409 crore.
The order wins mainly include projects in domestic market for transmission line reconductoring through HTLS conductors. These additional reconductoring orders apart from the ones the company declared few days back, will help Transrail to cater to such new types of projects where the high-performance carbon core HTLS conductors which are manufactured inhouse, are used to increase the current carrying capacity of the transmission lines.
With the increased manufacturing capacities (tower: 184,400 tonnes per year and conductor: 40,800 km per year) and the tailwinds associated with the T&D sector in both domestic and international markets, the company is well aligned for profitable growth, the release observed.
Integrated T&D player
According to Randeep Narang, MD & CEO, Transrail Lighting Ltd, “I am happy to successively announce new order wins worth Rs.412 crore, which further helps to increase our order book and reinforce our position as an integrated T&D player. With this we further expand our domestic footprint in transmission line reconductoring projects using high-performance carbon-core HTLS conductors manufactured by us.
We are motivated to see the Government’s thrust for the sector by approving Phase-III of the Green Energy Corridor which will strengthen India’s power infrastructure to support the evacuation of 900 GW of non-fossil fuel-based generation. Industry tailwinds like this coupled with our enhanced manufacturing capacities for towers and conductors, makes us well placed to continue our growth and create sustainable value.”
