KEC International clinches diversified orders, worth over Rs.1,400 crore

RPG Group infrastructure EPC company KEC International has landed diversified orders, together valued at Rs.1,429 crore.

In a communication, KEC said that the orders—including domestic and overseas—were spread across the power transmission, railways, civil, and cable businesses.

With these orders, KEC’s cumulative order inflows in the current fiscal year have crossed Rs.11,000 crore.

The power T&D business has secured orders of Rs.701 crore for T&D projects from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and other customers in India, East Asia Pacific, and the Americas. The orders from PGCIL include those under the Green Energy Corridor project.

The Railways business has secured orders of Rs.366 crore in emerging segments in India, as follows:

 

  • Semi High-Speed Rail – Order for 2 x 25kV Overhead Electrification (OHE) and associated works for speed upgradation
  • Tunnel Ventilation – Order for tunnel ventilation system and associated works

 

The Civil business has secured orders of Rs.318 crore from reputed private players for infra works in the cement, residential and metals & mining segments in India.

The Cables business has secured orders of Rs.44 crore for various types of cables in India and overseas.

Commenting on the orders Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd. commented, “Our order book continues to grow with orders secured across all our business verticals despite the global headwinds. We are delighted with the additional orders from PGCIL in the Green Energy Corridor under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. Our Railway business continues to strengthen its presence in the emerging segments with orders in High-Speed Rail and Tunnel Ventilation. With the above orders, our current year order inflows have exceeded Rs.11,000 crore. These orders along with the orders announced earlier during the year, reaffirm our confidence in achieving the targeted growth going forward.”
