Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd is planning to install a new galvanization plant, as well as expand its workforce, the company said in a release.
The new facility is coming up at Khera village in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The new plant will be adjacent to the company’s plant (Unit-III). The first two manufacturing units are also located in the same district.
The new plant will have a galvanization capacity of 96,000 tonnes per year. It will also be the company’s largest galvanizing unit. The rationale behind setting up this unit was to cater to galvanizing of large structures, those exceeding 1,600mm. Such structures could not be processed in the existing units.
The project is likely to cost Rs.50 crore and would be financed through internal accruals and bank borrowing.
The new unit will also be supported by an increase of 5-7 per cent in the company’s workforce. Currently, Salasar has about 1,900 employees (including labourers) on its payroll. Besides, manpower is hired as per project requirement.
