The management of Skipper Ltd expects that international business will account for 75 per cent of the company’s order book over the next two years, according to a company statement.

The release observed that Skipper has a strong bidding pipeline of over Rs.5,000 crore, which had a big component of international orders.

As of early December 2021, Skipper’s order inflow in FY21 had crossed Rs.1,300 crore, which was more than 160 per cent higher than the comparable level in FY20.

A director of Skipper Ltd (name not divulged) was quoted in the release, stating, “Overall, we are bullish about the economic revival in India and a number of foreign markets. More and more countries are increasing investments in T&D networks to connect more renewable power to the grid, in order to achieve their reduced carbon emission targets. A well balanced order book of domestic and international orders, and an impressive bidding pipeline of Rs.5,000 crore, reaffirm our confidence in achieving the targeted growth going forward”

Besides, orders valued at Rs.185 crore were won in the international markets, for  power transmission towers in Latin America, Middle East, West Asia and South Asia; and for telecom towers in Latin America and Africa.
