Anuj Poddar conferred “Man of Small Appliances Award – 2022”

Industry body CEAMA has honoured Anuj Poddar, MD & CEO, Bajaj Electricals with the prestigious “Man of Small Appliances Award – 2022.”

In a press statement, Bajaj Electricals Ltd said that award was conferred on Anuj Poddar by Consumer Electronics & Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) in recognition of his remarkable and significant contribution to the Indian consumer appliances industry.

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry presented the award at CEAMA’s 43rd Annual Function, held in New Delhi, on Wednesday November 16, 2022.

 

Order book

In an independent release, Bajaj Electricals also announced its financial results for Q2 (July to September) of FY23.  The outstanding order book position of the company as of October 1, 2022, stood at Rs.1,554 crore. This included Rs.1343 crore for transmission line towers, Rs.200 crore for illumination projects and Rs.11 crore in the power distribution sector.

Positive EBIT

Commenting on the financial results, Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Electricals Ltd, said “We have delivered a PBT growth of 6 per cent in spite of revenue de-growth and absorption of high cost inventories. EPC has delivered positive EBIT for the current quarter coupled with strong focus on collection of receivables.”
