NTPC REL signs MoU with Tripura for renewable energy development

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) has signed an MoU with the Tripura government for development of renewable energy.

According to a release by NTPC, the holding company of NTPC REL, the MoU was signed in New Delhi on January 16, 2023 for floating and ground-mounted renewable energy projects in Tripura.

The MoU was signed by Shri Rajiv Gupta, Chief General Manager, NTPC REL and Shri MahanandaDebbarma, Director General and CEO, Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Debbarma, Deputy CM of Tripura, Brijesh Pandey, IAS, Secretary (Power) and other senior officials from Government of Tripura.

On behalf of NTPC Ltd, C.K. Mondal, Director-Commercial, J Srinivasan, Director-Finance and Mohit Bhargava, Chief Executive Officer, NTPC REL were also present to grace the occasion.

This MoU embarks upon the journey towards development of large sized renewable energy projects in Tripura and shall help the government of Tripura in meeting its clean energy commitments and obligations.
