Schneider Electric set to grow manufacturing footprint, to invest Rs.1400 crore

Schneider Electric has announced its plan to invest Rs.1,400 crore towards increasing its manufacturing footprint in India.

This announcement, made by Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and CEO, Schneider Electric, at ELECRAMA 2023 entails the building of five new domestic factories over the next two years.

With its cutting-edge digital solutions and a strong R&D base, Schneider Electric expects to play a critical role in India’s growth, especially in the next 25 years of the ‘Amrit Kaal’ period, the company said in a statement.

 

60 years of local presence

Speaking on the completion of 60 years of Schneider Electric in India, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, said, “I am proud to share that we have been present in India for 60 years. In the last six decades, we have established a strong presence in the country, with multiple smart factories, distribution centers, R&D facilities, a large network of partners, customers, and over 34,500 employees. India is integral to Schneider Electric’s progressive strategy, and the role of this hub will only grow manifold in the coming years. At Elecrama, we are showcasing widest range of solutions for energy management, digitization, automation, and sustainability through our “Schneider Electric” and “L&T Electrical & Automation” brands. While contributing to economic growth of India, we have also been supporting local communities by training energy professionals, fostering entrepreneurship, providing access to digital education and creating awareness about sustainability.”

Elecrama 2023

At ELECRAMA 2023, Schneider Electric will be showcasing its state-of-the-art technologies and solutions for homes, buildings, industries, infrastructure, data centers and other sectors for creating a brighter, more sustainable future together. The company is also demonstrating endpoint to cloud integration connecting products, controls, software and services across segments. Schneider Electric’s portfolio of products and services are aimed at helping customers achieve their energy efficiency and sustainability goals, increase productivity and competitiveness, and reduce their carbon footprint. In addition to showcasing its products, the company is also organizing various technical sessions and workshops to share its expertise and insights with attendees.
