Schneider Electric has been conferred as the ‘Best Indo-French Cooperation of the Year’ by the Indo-French Business Awards 2023.

With the group completing 60 years in India, this recognition is a testament to its long-standing commitment to accelerating the group’s contribution towards India’s sustainability and digital transformation goals. The award highlights Schneider Electric’s unflinching commitment to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and strengthening Indo-French trade relations.

Over the past six decades, India has emerged as one of the four global hubs for Schneider Electric with accelerated investments in R&D, innovation and manufacturing. To bridge the gap between progress and sustainability, Schneider Electric is on a mission to become India’s preferred digital partner for sustainability and efficiency.

60 glorious years

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Anil Chaudhry, Zone President, Schneider Electric Greater India and CEO & MD, SEIPL said, “It is a great honour for Schneider Electric to be felicitated as the ‘Indo-French Cooperation of the Year’. As we complete 60 glorious years of our operations in India, we aim to keep the momentum going by developing climate-positive solutions and supporting India in its net zero journeys by 2070. The award is also a testament to the unwavering support that our customers, partners, and employees have shown us. Together, we will continue to develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions that support a sustainable and digitally-inclusive future.”

Widespread local presence

With a combined strength of over 34,500 employees, 30 factories, and a presence in more than 500 cities, the company is well poised to contribute to India’s economic growth. Schneider Electric closely works in tandem with government initiatives like Make-in-India, Smart Cities Mission, Start-up India, and Skill India. The company actively collaborates with public and private stakeholders to make the most of the available energy resources. For instance, 15 per cent of India’s solar capacity and 30 per cent of the country’s data centres are run on Schneider Electric’s solutions, a release from Schneider Electric said.
