ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd has received an order related to the renovation and modernization (R&M) of electrostatic precipitators (ESPs).

In a stock exchange communication, IGSEC said that this order, valued at Rs.197.25 crore, was placed by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd (Mahagenco) and relates to ESPs installed at the utility’s 2×500-mw Chandrapur thermal power plant located in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra.

The ESPs shall be retrofitted and modernised for particulate emission reduction in order to meet the latest emission norms and guidelines for thermal power plants, ISGEC said.

The scope of work includes complete design, engineering, supply, assembly, erection, commissioning and performance guarantee testing for ESP retrofitting/upgradation of 2×500-mw units (No.5 and No.6) of the said power plant.

“ESP is one of our major products in air pollution control equipment portfolio apart from DeSOx and DeNOx solutions. We are already executing an order for Mahagenco for Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) based DeSOx system and are really excited to receive this prestigious order for ESP R&M from the same customer. We are all geared up to take on and successfully execute this project, ” noted said Suman Jain, Group Head – Utility Boilers, Air Pollution Control Equipment & New Technology Development, ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd.
