Electrical Research & Development Association (ERDA) has announced its official approval as a third-party laboratory by KAHRAMAA (Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation),
In a release, ERDA said that this approval marks a significant milestone in its commitment to enhancing the standards of electrical infrastructure in Qatar.
ERDA’s test report shall be acceptable for the KAHRAMAA distribution network (upto 33kV) and will include:
- Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear
- Instrument Transformers
- Conductors & Accessories
- Insulators & Insulating Materials
- Earthing Systems
- Insulating Oil
This approval establishes ERDA as a trusted partner for laboratory testing and research in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for electrical products and systems in the region. By meeting the rigorous technical and operational criteria set by KAHRAMAA, ERDA’s laboratory is poised to support both local and international manufacturers in their compliance with Qatar’s safety and operational standards.
