Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) is likely to fully commission three transmission projects during the fourth quarter (Q4: January to March) of FY25.

In a media release, AESL said that it was on track to fully commission three transmission projects – two interstate and one intrastate transmission system schemes – during Q4 of FY25. All the three projects have been awarded to AESL under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.

Basic details of the three projects are:

Project SPV: KPS1 Transmission Ltd
Type: ISTS-TBCB
Location: Gujarat
Infrastructure: TL (43 ckm); SS (6,000 MVA)
Outlay: Rs.8.7 billion

Project SPV: Khavda II-A Transmission Ltd

Outlay: Rs.12.7 billion

Project: Sangod Transmission Ltd

These three projects are expected to add over 400 ckm of transmission lines and in excess of 7,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL’s operational portfolio by March 31, 2025.

In Q3 (October to December) of FY25, AESL fully commissioned an intrastate TBCB scheme housed under “MP Power Transmission (Package II) Ltd,” adding 1,088 ckm of lines and 2,700 MVA to Madhya Pradesh’s state grid.

As of December 31, 2024, AESL’s power transmission portfolio stood at 25,778 ckm, including 7,283 ckm under construction. The company’s under-construction portfolio was bolstered by “Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Ltd,” a TBCB win entailing a major HVDC scheme (Bhadla-Fatehpur) straddling Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. This project was formally acquired by

In the first nine months of FY25 (April to December), AESL undertook capital expenditure of Rs.7,475 crore as against Rs.3,784 crore in the same period of FY24.
