According to Madhya Pradesh energy minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, this achievement is the result of the expertise of the engineers and technicians of the state’s power companies, efficient management, and excellent maintenance of the power system. He congratulated all the officers and employees of the power companies for this accomplishment.

On February 24, 2025, Madhya Pradesh also set a record for the highest single-day energy handling. On this day, 353.77 million units of energy were successfully managed, showcasing the high efficiency, reliability, and stability of the state’s power system, the release noted.

In FY24, the state had handled a total of 95,137 million kwh of energy. In FY25, with continuously rising power demand being successfully met, a 6.2 per cent increase was recorded.

There has been steady increase in energy handling in the state from 88,850 MU in FY23 to 95137 MU in FY24, now to 101,040 MU in FY25.
