Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd has been awarded a Rs.232-crore turnkey transmission line project by Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (UPPTCL).
The project awarded in November 2025 entails the engineering, detailed design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400kV double-circuit twin moose Banda-Chitrakoot transmission line, spanning approximately 130 km.
Once operational, the transmission line is expected to significantly strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s power transmission network by enhancing grid stability and reliability, reducing transmission losses, and supporting the state’s growing power requirements driven by industrial expansion and rapid urbanization, a release by Salasar said.
