Waaree Transpower has announced the winning of major orders for inverter duty transformers (IDT), placed by a solar EPC company.
In a release, Waaree Transpower said that it has secured IDT orders worth over Rs.100 crore within the first month of its launch. The orders, aggregating 1275 MVA (1.27 GW), have been placed by an undisclosed solar EPC company for deployment across high-capacity solar projects nationwide.
Part of the Waaree Group, Waaree Transpower Pvt Ltd represents the erstwhile Kotson’s Pvt Ltd – a Rajasthan-headquartered transformer manufacturing company in which Waaree Energies Ltd acquired 64 per cent controlling equity stake in October 2025.
Waaree Transpower’s inverter duty transformers (IDTs) — engineered to withstand high-frequency switching, harmonic-rich environments, and variable irradiation conditions — have become a preferred choice for developers seeking long-term reliability, stable power evacuation, and superior grid compliance, the release said.
“Crossing the 1.27 GW mark in transformer orders within a month is a strong endorsement of Waaree Transpower’s capability to support India’s fast-growing solar ecosystem. This milestone reflects our team’s engineering excellence, disciplined execution, and customer centricity. As India expands its renewable capacity at record speed, we are committed to delivering reliable, grid-resilient electrical infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of developers and strengthens the nation’s clean energy transition,” according to Ankit Doshi, Director, Waaree Transpower.
