Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSI) today announced the launch of its new Panasonic EBXL Wires in 90-meter range, engineered to deliver significantly enhanced safety, durability, and electrical performance for modern residential and commercial installations.

In a release, PLSI said that the EBXL range, manufactured in an automated, ISO-certified facility, complies with IS17048 standards and is RoHS compliant, ensuring high material purity, environmental safety, and long-term operational reliability.

The new wires are made with high-quality Japanese copper (99.97% purity) and feature Electron Beam Cross-Linked (EBXL) HFFR insulation, offering low smoke, zero halogen emissions, and a high 33 per cent oxygen index for superior fire resistance. This combination not only enhances electrical performance but also helps limit the spread of fire, reduce smoke generation, and improve visibility during emergencies—supporting safer evacuation and minimizing potential damage.

Designed for safety-conscious consumers and modern infrastructure needs, Panasonic EBXL wires offer:

  • 100-times higher insulation resistance, helping reduce the likelihood of electrical leakage and short circuits
  • Up to 75 per cent higher current carrying capacity, enabling stable performance even under higher loads
  • 95 per cent visibility during fire events, supporting quicker response and safer evacuation
  • Enhanced durability and long-term stability, ensuring consistent performance over time

These features make them ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications, where safety and reliability are paramount, the release said.

Key Highlights of Panasonic EBXL Wires
  • Electron Beam Cross-Linked insulation for superior heat & flame resistance
  • Made with high-quality Japanese copper (99.97 per cent purity)
  • Zero halogen, low smoke for enhanced fire safety
  • 33 per cent oxygen index for higher flame retardancy
