Magenta Power, a pioneer in establishing clean energy solutions in India, has successfully bagged the project for engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of a rooftop solar power project for Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

According to information available with T&D India, the rooftop solar project will have 30kW capacity and construction work is likely to start in June 2020.

“It is a proud moment for us to bag this project especially when the country needs an economic revival. We are glad to extend our support towards green energy solutions, and thankful to the Team HAL who made this possible by working remotely, and process back end even in the most difficult Lockdown period,” a statement by Magenta Power noted.

Last year, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation became a strategic investor in Magenta Power.

Magenta Power supported by HPCL, has successfully completed several marquee projects with clients like HPCL, Mahad CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant) along with residential and commercial complexes. The Group is a fast growing firm with its EV charging infrastructure business (ChargeGrid) and the solar business.

It may be recalled that in September 2019, Magenta Power roped in HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd) as a strategic investor. According to reports, the involvement of HPCL was meant to Magenta Power to closely work with HPCL to set up EV charging solutions not just at the fuel filling stations of the state-owned oil marketing company but also outside HPCL’s purview.
