Atlanta Electricals Ltd has announced the winning of a Rs.190-crore order for supplying transformers to the Rajasthan state transmission operator.
In a release, Atlanta Electricals Ltd said that it has received a notification of award from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RVPN) for the supply of 53 units of 50 MVA, 132/33kV power transformers.
These transformers, to be supplied along with nitrogen injection fire prevention and extinguishing system (NIFPES), have an aggregate order value of around Rs.190 crore, Atlanta Electricals said.
The rate contract by RVPN has been awarded for a period of two years, with provision for extension in line with the terms of the bid document. The supply is to be executed as per the technical specifications and commercial terms outlined by RVPN under the relevant bid reference.

Reinforcement of capability
This order further strengthens Atlanta Electricals’ presence in the domestic power transmission segment and reinforces its capability to deliver high-capacity, technically advanced power transformers to leading state utilities, the release noted.
