Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has planned a capital expenditure of Rs. 25,000 crore for FY19. In FY18, PGCIL incurred capital expenditure to the tune of Rs. 25,791 crore and capitalized assets worth Rs.27,370 crore.

The Railway Business of KEC International has dominated the company’s new order inflows during the ongoing FY19, up to May 14, 2018. Out of the total order inflow of Rs.1,392 crore during the said period, overhead railway electrification works and associated civil works accounted for Rs.928 crore, or 67 per cent.

In a span of less than a week, Bajaj Electricals has announced the winning of electrification orders worth nearly Rs.6,000 crore. These orders involving rural and urban electrification will be implemented in Uttar Pradesh. Both the orders are part of the national household electrification scheme, Saubhagya.
