CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd has opened a new facility for smart motors in Maharashtra.
The state-of-the art facility located at Ahmednagar for next-generation smart motors was recently inaugurated at the hands of Vellayan Subbiah, Chairman CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd.
Spread over an area of 4,200 sqm and equipped with latest world-class equipment and machinery, this is CG’s seventh manufacturing facility in Ahmednagar, a company release said.
The new facility will manufacture smart electric motors from 75 kW to 1000 kW. It will cater to the increased demand of domestic and global market and will help CG to gain greater market share for higher range of LV motors, the release said.
Speaking on the occasion Vellayan Subbiah said, “The new plant is a testimony of the company’s commitment towards Make in India initiative and deliver to its customers world class products at affordable price. This plant will keep India ahead of the curve in motor technology.
It may be mentioned that CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd is now a subsidiary of Murugappa Group company Tube Investments of India Ltd (TI). According to information independently available, TI’s equity stake in CG Power & Industrial Solutions currently stands at around 58 per cent. Founded in 1900, the Chennai-headquartered Murugappa Group has 28 diversified businesses.
