EESL and BEE hold consultative workshop on energy efficiency

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) recently organized a workshop on the Demonstration of Energy Efficiency Potential (DEEP) project across India, a release by EESL said.

The workshop was held in association with Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), and state designated agencies of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

Under the project, BEE and EESL with their collaborative approach and expertise, aim to deploy eight innovative energy efficiency technologies in PAT industries. For this, twenty-seven demonstrations will be held across the country for upscaling 100 projects, with an investment to the tune of Rs.150 crore.

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is keen to deploy innovative energy efficient technologies in the PAT industries and will leverage EESL’s vast experience in the implementation of large-scale energy-efficient projects through innovative financial models and demand aggregation.

 

EESL will be organizing a similar workshop on July 20, 2022.

Highlighting the key benefits and available support of DEEP project, Girja Shankar, Head (CDP), said, “EESL’s programmes have made a significant contribution in upscaling India’s energy efficiency portfolio. Through DEEP, we will continue our concerted efforts to help the country meet its climate action goals with widespread adoption of innovative technologies.”

During the workshop, EESL explained the details of approved innovative technologies and demonstrated live demo for submission of expression of interest. The workshop also saw technology solution providers presenting case studies, cost economics and advancement of these technologies during a panel discussion.
