GameChange BOS inaugurates transformer factory at Taloja, Maharashtra

GameChange BOS, a division of GameChange Energy Technologies, has announced the opening of its high-capacity medium voltage transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, Maharashtra.

According to a company release, the state-of-the-art factory, spread across 180,000 sqft, is capable of producing over 1,800 transformers annually, significantly expanding the company’s ability to serve key markets in India, Europe, and the United States.

This strategic expansion enables GameChange BOS to scale its product offerings across the 0.5 MVA to 25 MVA range, with voltage ratings up to 69kV, catering to high-growth segments such as AI-driven data centres, renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and large-scale electrification infrastructure.

According to Andrew Worden, CEO, GameChange BOS, “We are revolutionising the experience of the customer in the transformer sector with fast delivery, great service, and unparalleled value pricing, Our new factory enables us to address urgent market needs and positions us as a significant player in the global electrification movement.”

 

Localization

Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, the facility boosts domestic manufacturing capabilities, reduces dependency on imports, and strengthens India’s role as a competitive exporter of advanced transformer solutions. The facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing technology, quality testing, and streamlined production processes, ensuring products meet the highest international standards.

 

Meeting India’s growing power demand

India’s power demand is projected to nearly triple by 2035, driven by industrial expansion, rise of electrification of transport, data centersand urban consumption. Backed by years of transformer design and construction experience, GameChange BOS is committed to investing in the technology and capacity needed to meet these emerging infrastructure demands.
