Havells India: Cables business grows 16 per cent in H1 of FY24

Havells India reported a year-on-year growth of nearly 16 per cent in its cables business during the first half (H1: April to September) of FY24.

In an investor presentation, Havells India said that its cable business clocked revenue of Rs.2,955 crore in H1 of FY24, up 15.8 per cent from Rs.2,552 crore in FY23. This segment contributed the highest – around 34 per cent – to the company’s total business revenue in H1 of FY24.

Likewise, the switchgear segment saw a 7 per cent growth in revenue from Rs.1,004 crore in H1 of FY23 to Rs.1,073 crore in H1 of FY23.

 

Positive outlook

Commenting on the company’s financial performance during the second quarter of FY24, Anil Rai Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Havells India, said, “While Q2 witnessed softness in consumer demand, we remain positive for the upcoming festival season. We continued our long term investments in manufacturing, product portfolio and talent pool.”
