IntelliSmart Infrastructure Pvt Ltd has bagged an order from a state power distribution utility in Uttar Pradesh for the installation of 67 lakh smart meters.

In a release, IntelliSmart said that Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) has issued the letter of award to IntelliSmart to install smart meters in 14 districts in western Uttar Pradesh falling under the purview of PVVNL. The contract also covers substantial service cabling and auxiliaries.

With this win, IntelliSmart undertakes the largest competitively bid smart metering project awarded so far under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the country, the release said.

This also makes IntelliSmart the owner of the biggest portfolio of smart metering projects across the country awarded under RDSS, expanding its footprint to seven states/UTs along with its parent company, Energy Efficiency Services Ltd.
