Officials from KfW Development Bank recently inspected KfW-assisted projects commissioned by Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (MPPTCL).

In a release, MPPTCL said that a team of KfW officials inspected projects completed under the Green Corridor Scheme – Phase I (GEC-I) by MPPTCL. The release observed that the projects inspected were commissioned ahead of schedule.

Funded by KfW, GEC-I is a collection of intrastate transmission system (InSTS) schemes meant for renewable energy evacuation. GEC-I comes under the monitoring purview of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The MPPTCL release noted that Walter Klotz, a technical officer from KfW inspected the 400kV substation constructed in Mandsaur, as part of GEC-I. He praised the high quality of work and excellent technical methods employed by MPPTCL, the release said.

During the inspection, Klotz stated that the work funded by the KfW Development Bank under GEC-I has been carried out in accordance with international standards and is now being efficiently operated and maintained by MPPTCL’s skilled team.

Klotz also conducted a detailed inspection of the substation’s maintenance, data monitoring through the SCADA system, and other operations, and described them as outstanding, the release noted.
