KPI Green Energy Ltd (formerly KPI Global Infrastructure) has received its single-largest EPC order till date, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

Without specifying the value of the order, the stock exchange filing said that the order was placed by an unnamed entity that is among India’s leading solar manufacturing company.

The order relates to engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of a 33-mw solar power plant. The order, to be executed by KPIG Energia Pvt Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Ltd), also includes a 25-year O&M contract and land-lease agreement.

The project shall be commissioned in 2023 in various tranches as envisaged in the terms of the order, the filing said.

“We are pleased to emphasize that this is the largest single order received by the company. This will further strengthen and accelerate the speed to achieve our ambitious target of reaching 1,000 mw capacity by 2025,” the stock exchange filing said.

According to information available with T&D India, KPI Green Energy is also an independent power producer (IPP) with respect to solar power plants developed under the “Solarism” brand. The Gujarat-based company also has a “CPP” (captive power producer) business segment where the company develops, transfers, operates and maintains grid-connected solar power plants for its CPP consumers. The 33-mw order discussed in this story falls under the “CPP” model.
