Premier Energies Ltd has announced the launch of its next-generation 620W DCR solar modules using G12R TOPCon technology — among the highest-output, large-format panels now available in India.

With the introduction of TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) architecture, the G12R 620W module delivers exceptional power density, an improved temperature coefficient, and stronger low-light performance. The rectangular G12R N-type cell format unlocks higher string power and BOS optimization, making it ideal for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial rooftop projects, a release by Premier Energies said.

The G12R 620 W module marks the next phase in the company’s product evolution — engineered to meet the demands of all consumers with higher returns and lower carbon impact, the release noted.

Significant milestone

“This launch represents a significant milestone in India’s transition to high-efficiency solar,” said Chiranjeev Saluja, MD & CEO, Premier Energies. “This is the technology of the future. As one of the first few companies to bring 620W DCR modules to market, we are offering a future-ready solution to help solar power investors and consumers in extracting more energy and value from every ray of the sun. These modules, compliant with India’s Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) regulations, go a long way in supporting the country’s solar power ambitions and Make in India policy.

Key featuers

The key features of 620W G12R TOPCon modules include:

  • High Output: Maximizes energy yield, especially in space-constrained rooftops and high-capacity ground mounts.
  • TOPCon Efficiency: Next-gen cell architecture for superior conversion efficiency vs. conventional PERC.
  • Rectangular G12R Format: Optimized aspect ratio for better layout, higher string power, and reduced system cost.
  • Enhanced Durability: Built for India’s climatic stresses — heat, humidity, dust, and wind loads.
  • Lower LCOE: Greater power density and robust field performance reduce lifetime energy cost.
