Raychem RPG has set a new benchmark in transformer technology by becoming the first Indian manufacturer to receive the prestigious E3, C3, F1 certification for its cast resin transformers (CRTs), following rigorous testing at CESI, Italy.

In a release, Raychem RPG said that this certification—aligned with the IEC60076-11:2018 global standard—signifies a significant leap in ensuring enhanced safety, sustainability, and performance. It also marks Raychem RPG’s commitment to bringing globally recognized innovation to the Indian power sector.

The E3 (Environmental), C3 (Climatic), and F1 (Fire) ratings validate the transformers’ ability to perform in extreme conditions, including:

  • Sub-zero climates (-40°C transport, -25°C operation)
  • High-condensation and pollution-prone environments
  • Fire-prone areas with minimal toxic emissions

Proud milestone

“Achieving E3, C3, and F1 certification is a proud milestone for us. It underscores our unwavering dedication to global quality standards and our commitment to delivering safer, more sustainable, and highly reliable products to our customers. This certification marks a significant step forward in enhancing solutions to our customers and reinforcing our promise of excellence,” according to Sharad Dhawale, Business Head – Transformer, Raychem RPG.

Reinforcing leadership

Previously certified for E2, C2, and F1 in 2013 and 2016, Raychem RPG’s latest advancement positions it among a select group of global players, reinforcing its leadership in dry-type transformer technology. This development supports India’s growing demand for safer, maintenance-free, and eco-friendly power infrastructure solutions – especially in urban, industrial, and high-risk zones, the release noted.
