RR Kabel has launched “RRoshani” – a skill-development programme aimed at empowering underprivileged youth across Maharashtra.
This project aims to equip young individuals, aged 18 to 30, with comprehensive technical training in electrical work, soft skills development, and job placement support. The initiative will be implemented across five districts—Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Solapur—between June and September 2025.
The three-month training program offers 300 hours of hands-on instruction, delivered in collaboration with esteemed partners—Kohinoor Technical Institute, FUEL (Friends Union for Energizing Lives), and Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC). The program is open to youth who have passed their SSC and come from families with an annual income below Rs.6 lakh.
As part of the program, trainees will receive kits by RRoshani, including t-shirts, bags, study materials, and an electrical toolkit—designed not only to support their learning journey but also to build a sense of identity and pride in being part of the RRoshani movement.
“We believe that real change begins with opportunity,” said, Kirti Kabra, Director at RR Global. “By equipping young individuals with essential technical and life skills, we aim to unlock pathways to meaningful employment and brighter future—not only for them but for their families as well.”
With a target of placing at least 50 per cent of certified trainees into gainful employment, this initiative also addresses India’s growing demand for skilled electricians and technicians, thereby contributing significantly to the nation’s development.
The Rs.53-lakh investment in this initiative underscores RR Kabel Foundation’s commitment to community uplift through education, employment, and empowerment. Through RRoshani, the Foundation is not only training individuals but also nurturing a generation that is ready to power the future.
