Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has announced the launched of “SIMHA 2.0 Universal Drive”, a unique product that powers solar pump sets and supports a wide variety of motors.

The SIMHA 2.0 Universal Drive is an upgraded version of SIMHA that was launched in 2018. Leading a new start, the product upgrade comes with an IP65 design that makes it dust proof and rain proof, offers plug-and-play shock-proof connectors and is powered with a remote monitoring system. An advanced MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm puts it in the range of premium renewable energy products, a release from Shakti Pumps said.

For industry too

The SIMHA 2.0 Universal Drive also offers a graphical LCD display and on/off buttons for easy operation, wide temperature range, independent data logging facility which can be taken via Bluetooth/USB and a IoT-based mobile app control. The SIMHA 2.0 drive is designed to cater not only solar pumping but also for industrial use, the release said.

MNRE Channel Partner

As a channel partner for the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Shakti Pumps has a range of solar pumps between 1HP to 100HP that are simple and easy to operate, offering 40 per cent more discharge than other ordinary pumps. (1 HP = 746W)

Shakti Pumps, the release noted, is also playing a pivotal role with its product offering in the rising popularity of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Surakshaevam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, under which 4 lakh solar powered pump sets will be installed. This Centrally-sponsored scheme is designed to help empower farmers by raising their income through the use of these solar-powered irrigation pump sets.
