Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) has secured a contract worth Rs.127 crore from Wangchhu Hydroelectric Power Ltd (WHPL), Bhutan, for construction works related to the Wangchhu hydropower project. The scope of work includes construction of diversion tunnels, hydromechanical gates and cofferdams. The contract is scheduled to be completed within nine months.  HCC’s continued presence in Bhutan for over three decades has contributed significantly to the country’s hydropower capacity through projects such as Tala (1020 MW), Kurichu (60 MW), Punatsangchhu-I (1200 MW), Dagachhu (114 MW) and Nikachhu (118 MW), a release by HCC said. Tata Power, through its expanding EV charging infrastructure, has facilitated over 7.5 lakh charging sessions and 414 million green miles across the country, while helping avoid approximately 50,000 tonnes of CO₂ tailpipe emissions. Further strengthening its EV charging footprint across key mobility corridors and urban centres, Tata Power EZ Charge will inaugurate new charging stations at Kopa Mall in Pune, IOCL locations on both sides of the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata equipped with six charging guns, a release from Tata Power said. GE Vernova Inc has signed an agreement with Powerica Ltd to supply 28 of its 3.8 MW–154m onshore wind turbines for the Botad Wind Farm in Gujarat, India, marking the debut of GE Vernova’s 3.8 MW workhorse turbine in the Indian market. GE Vernova also announced that it has been certified by MNRE and included on the Approved List of Models & Manufacturers of Wind Turbines (ALMM). The project will be supplied from GE Vernova’s manufacturing facility in Pune, India. At full capacity, the site is expected to support up to 1,500 MW of annual production capacity. JD Cables Ltd reported an unexecuted order book of Rs.515 crore as of March 31, 2026, growing from around Rs.286 crore as of September 30, 2025. Meanwhile, the company expects to commission its third manufacturing facility by December 2026. Coming up in an industrial facility measuring 1.18 lakh sqft at Dankuni, Hooghly district, West Bengal, this unit will essentially produce aluminium conductors with installed capacity of 28,000 km per year. This will double the company’s overall current cable & conductor capacity of 28,000 km coming from two West Bengal-based units – Howrah (capacity: 6,000 km per year) and Dankuni (capacity: 22,000 km per year).  (June 4, 2026)

 

Hindustan Copper Ltd has awarded LOHUM the rights to restart, upgrade, and maintain the 50,000 tpa copper project at Jhagadia, Gujarat, under a 20-year revenue-sharing agreement, extendable by 5 years. The upgraded facility will produce 99.9997 per cent pure Grade-A copper cathodes, meeting the highest international quality standards, to serve India’s rising demand from the power, electronics, construction, and electric vehicle sectors. With domestic demand crossing 1,878 kilo tonnes in FY25 and growing at over 9 per cent annually, restarting copper refining capacity at this scale will directly strengthen job creation, national infrastructure, technology ecosystems, and energy security, an official release said. Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) recorded a monthly electricity traded volume of 12,983 MU in May 2026, a robust 18.6 per cent increase year-on-year. A total of 6.10 lakh Renewable Energy Certificates were traded during the month, though REC volumes declined 65 per cent year-on-year. Due to the significant increase in power demand, the average market clearing price in DAM (day ahead market) was Rs.4.88 per kWh, 18.3 per cent higher year-on-year. The average RTM (real time market) clearing price stood was Rs.4.16 per kWh, up 21.2 per cent year-on-year, IEX said in a release. (June 4, 2026)

 

Bajel Projects Ltd has announced the winning of an EPC order from an undisclosed data centre client in Mumbai for design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and performance testing of 400/220/33kV GIS substation for the data centre. Valued at between Rs.300 crore and Rs.400 crore, the order is scheduled for completion in 24 months, Bajel said in a stock exchange notification. (June 3, 2026)

 

Marsons Ltd has received a letter of intent worth around Rs.31.27 crore (inclusive of GST) from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd (AEGCL) for the supply of 132/33kV, 50 MVA power transformers and related services. These transformers will be associated with the Durlavcherra, Karimganj and Srikona substations of AEGCL. (June 3, 2026)

 

Sharika Enterprises Ltd has secured a key subcontract for the deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) under Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd’s Ganga Corridor power distribution modernization project. The project is being executed under RDSS through East India Udyog Ltd (EIUL) as the lead contractor. The project spans the important urban centres of Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh, and is aimed at transforming the region’s power distribution network through the implementation of an integrated SCADA-ADMS platform, combining SCADA, DMS and OMS functionalities. The award marks Sharika’s strategic entry into India’s rapidly expanding SCADA-ADMS market, a company release said. (June 2, 2026)

 

Jyoti Structures Ltd, in a release, said that it has introduced a Summer Safety Plan covering all transmission line project sites. The plan addresses heat stress, dehydration, and fatigue risks among workers during peak summer months. Site teams have been directed to shift work hours away from peak afternoon heat, supply drinking water, ORS, and lemon-salt solution at all locations, and set up rest shelters near work areas. Daily toolbox talks on heat stress, worker health monitoring, first aid readiness, emergency transport, and restrictions on tower climbing during extreme heat are also part of the plan, the release said. Siemens Energy has reached an agreement to acquire Camlin Group, a Northern Ireland-based specialist in grid monitoring, analytics and asset digitalization technologies. The acquisition will expand Siemens Energy’s digital grid portfolio at a time of accelerated global investment in electricity networks. Financial details were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close before the end of 2026, a release by Siemens Energy said. (June 2, 2026)

 

Siemens has appointed Markus Grabmeier as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit at Smart Infrastructure, effective June 1, 2026. He succeeds Andreas Matthé, who will remain available in an advisory capacity until his transition into retirement at the end of September 2026. Andreas Matthé had been with Siemens for more than 40 years, holding, among other positions, the roles of Vice President of Power Automation and Energy Management Systems at Siemens Ltd. in South Africa and Executive Vice President of Siemens Ltd. in China. From October 2010, he served as CEO of EP and its predecessor organization. (June 1, 2026)

 

Alfa Transformers Ltd has won an order from Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd for the supply of 12,000 units of 11/0.433kV three-phase 10 kVA (aluminium wound) CRGO/amorphous transformers under “CPP Tender for the year 2026-27”. The order, valued at Rs.63 crore, is to be fulfilled during FY27, the company said in a stock exchange filing. (June 1, 2026)

 

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) along with its international subsidiaries have secured new orders / notification of awards of approximately Rs.2,002 crore. These orders include domestic and international mandates in the power T&D space. Commenting on the orders, Manish Mohnot, MD & CEO, KPIL, said, “We are delighted to secure new orders across our diverse business verticals. In the T&D business, these wins strengthen our position across high-growth markets in the Middle East and the Nordics.” (June 1, 2026)

 

May 2026

KEC International Ltd has announced the winning of new orders valued at Rs.1,303 crore, across its various businesses. The orders include those for building 400/220kV substations and associated transmission lines from a private developer in south India. Supply orders from Americas for transmission towers, hardware and poles were also part of the new mandates. (May 27, 2026)

 

RIR Power Electronics Ltd has secured a large order from an overseas customer for supplying 120 units of its 5kV silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) thyristors in the first phase. This order win is from one of the leading Class-1 electrical EPC contractor companies that carries out turnkey electrification projects for industries and power plants across India and the world- is one of the largest of its kind and underscores RIR Power Electronics’ growing repute as India’s leading vertically integrated Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor manufacturer, a release from RIR Power Electronics said. K2 Infragen Ltd has won two orders aggregating Rs.56.91 crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. These include construction of a new 132/33kV grid substation at Mukundgarh, Jhunjhunu District, along with associated lines and 132 KV bays, valued at Rs 29.85 crore, and the development of 220kV & 132kV transmission lines linked to the 220kV substation at Seruna, Bikaner district, valued at 27.06 crore. Both projects are slated for completion within a 15-months timeframe. Since December 2025, K2 Infragen Ltd. has won new orders worth Rs.411.91 crore across various verticals, a company release said. SPML Infra Ltd has secured a contract worth Rs.165.41 crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RRVPNL) for the construction of 400kV grid substation and transmission infrastructure at Dahra, in Kota, Rajasthan, to be executed in 24 months period. The scope of work includes: supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400kV grid substation at Dahra with one 500 MVA autotransformer bay; 420kV, 1×125 MVAR bus-type shunt reactor bay; two 400kV feeder bays and three 400kV tie bays; and, all associated civil works, automation and communication systems. Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TARIL] has secured an order worth Rs.228.26 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd (GETCO) for the supply of six transformers and two reactors. The order is scheduled for completion by August 2028, TARIL said in a regulatory disclosure. (May 22, 2026)

 

The board of Fujiyama Power Systems Ltd has approved the company’s proposal for setting up a 1.2 GW TopCon solar cell manufacturing facility at its Ratlam Plant in Madhya Pradesh.  Currently, the company operates a 1 GW Mono PERC solar cell manufacturing facility at its Dadri plant, Uttar Pradesh. With the addition of 1.2 GW TopCon capacity at Ratlam, Fujiyama will substantially strengthen its integrated manufacturing capabilities across the solar value chain. The commercial operations of the Ratlam TopCon facility are expected to commence from Q1FY28. The estimated investment for the project is Rs.350 crore and this will be financed through debt and internal accruals. (May 22, 2026)

 

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TARIL] has announced the winning of an order valued at Rs.175 crore. Placed by Bhanwariya Infra Projects Pvt Ltd, the order involves supply of four transformers and five reactors meant for installation at the 400/220kV grid substations of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd at Kumher (Bharatpur) and Amber (Jaipur). The order is scheduled for delivery by March 2028, TARIL said in a regulatory filing. (May 20, 2026)

 

Pace Digitek Ltd has secured a battery energy storage system (BESS) EPC and long-term O&M contract from NLC India Renewables Ltd for implementation of a 250 MW / 500 MWh BESS project spread across several locations in Tamil Nadu. Valued at around Rs.710 crore (inclusive of GST), the contract includes complete EPC execution, excluding supply of power transformers, along with 12-year comprehensive O&M services. The scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning and associated civil, structural and infrastructure works. (May 19, 2026)

 

Polycab India Ltd has further strengthened its distribution infrastructure with the launch of its new ‘Quick Service Depot’ in Siliguri, West Bengal. Spread across 9,250 sqft. and located about 7 km away from New Jalpaiguri (NGP) station, this QSD will support the distribution of all Polycab’s diverse product portfolio including wires, lighting, fans, switches, switchgear, conduits & pipes and more. enabling faster order fulfilment and improved product availability for channel partners and customers across the region. Ceigall India Ltd has won a concession from Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd for putting up a 250 MW/500 MWh standalone BESS unit in Punjab, under the tariff-based competitive bidding mechanism. The concession was granted at a tariff of Rs.2.99 per kWh and the installation is expected to come up in 18 months from signing of the 12-year BES purchase agreement. (May 14, 2026)

 

Bajel Projects Ltd has announced the winning of an EPC order valued at between Rs.200 crore and Rs.300 crore. The order relates to “Transmission Line Package TL-01 for Bellary Davanagere 2nd 400kV (quad) double-circuit line” and has been placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), on behalf of its TBCB subsidiary Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Ltd (now known as Powergrid Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Ltd). Taking shape in Karnataka, the transmission line is scheduled to commission in 21 months. (May 13, 2026)

 

SUGS Lloyd Ltd reported an unexecuted order book of Rs.825 crore, as of March 31, 2026. In a release, Santosh Shah, the company’s MD & Promoter, said, “A strong and growing order book, expanding client relationships, increasing geographic footprint, and improving margins together paint a picture of a company that is scaling with discipline.” The company holds over 50 per cent market share in Fault Passage Indicator (FPI) technology and continues to expand in the power T&D and solar segments, the release added. Jyoti Structures Ltd, in joint venture with Fentons, has signed a contract agreement with National Transmission Network Service Provider (Private) Ltd for construction of a 28-km long, 220kV double-circuit transmission line from Munnar GS to Mullikulam collector grid substation. The contract, related to the Mullikulam wind power project in Sri Lanka, is valued at Rs.67.96 crore and is scheduled for completion in 18 months. (May 13, 2026)

 

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business vertical of Larsen & Toubro Ltd has secured a batch of EPC orders from prestigious clients in the Middle East for setting up EHV substations.  The orders pertain to constructing one 380kV substation and two 132kV substations. These high-capacity substations will ensure availability of reliable power to large load centres and decongest grids, thereby enabling them to meet the growing demands, a release by L&T said, adding that the aggregate value of these orders was in the range of Rs.1,000 crore to Rs.2,500 crore. KEI Industries Ltd reported an outstanding order book of Rs.3,585 crore as of March 31, 2026, as against Rs.3,928 crore as of December 31, 2025. Of the latest order book, Rs.309 crore was from the EPC division and Rs.625 crore pertained to EHV cables. The remaining order book was in the wire & cable business and included Rs.2,154 crore from domestic institutional clients and Rs.497 crore from exports. As of March 31, 2026, KEI also held L1 position with respect to EHV cable orders valued at Rs.233 crore. (May 12, 2026)

 

Resonia Ltd, formerly Sterlite Grid32 Ltd, has announced the appointment of Aditya Mittal as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, he will report to Prashant Sinha, CEO, Resonia Ltd, and will be based in Mumbai. With nearly two decades of experience, Aditya has worked across project and product businesses in sectors including infrastructure, energy, metals, oil and gas, and manufacturing, with global exposure across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, a release by Resonia Ltd said. ABB said that it has become the world’s first manufacturer to offer an IE6 Hyper‑Efficiency motor certified to ATEX and IECEx requirements for use in hazardous areas. The new IE6 Increased safety motor, based on ABB’s magnet- and rare earth- free synchronous reluctance (SynRM) technology, offers up to 60 per cent lower energy losses than the IE3 induction motors commonly used in Zones 1 and 2. This enables operators to realize a major boost in energy efficiency and avoided carbon emissions in industries where gas, vapor or dust might be present, such as chemicals, marine, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and food & beverage. The IE6 SynRM Increased safety motor is certified for use with variable speed drives (VSDs) to offer accurate control and high efficiency throughout the whole speed range, even at partial loads, a release by ABB said. Engineers of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MP Transco or MPPTCL) successfully carried out the in-house reconditioning of a nearly 40-year-old 132/33kV, 40 MVA power transformer and restoring it to operational condition. After reconditioning, the transformer was installed and re-energized at the 132kV Indore Seoni substation. This initiative is expected to enhance the reliability of power supply in the Malwa region, a release by MPPTCL said. (May 11, 2026)

 

The management of RR Kabel Ltd, in a recent investor meeting, said that the company was undertaking a Rs.1,200-crore capex plan of which Rs.300 crore was spent in FY26, and most of the remainder is likely to be spent in FY27. As part of the plan, the company would be making EHV cables of up to 220kV, as against 66kV now. The capex plan is expected to fully commission during FY28. The management also disclosed that during FY26, the wire to cable sales mix was 73:27, in terms of revenue. (May 8, 2026)

 

Bondada Engineering Ltd has announced the winning of an order worth Rs.816.01 crore from NTPC Green Energy Ltd. With a completion timeframe of 18 months, the balance of system (BoS) order on EPC basis relates to 600 MW of solar projects at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan. The mandate also covers operations & maintenance (O&M) for a period of three years, post commissioning. (May 8, 2026)

 

Marsons Ltd has received a domestic order from Ram Taranga Solutions Pvt Ltd for the supply of 100/125 MVA, 220kV power transformer and 16.8 MVA inverter duty transformers. Valued at Rs.18.88 crore (inclusive of GST), the order is scheduled for completion in six months, Marsons disclosed in a regulatory filing.  (May 8, 2026)

 

Pace Digitek Ltd has secured a Rs.702-crore (inclusive of GST) EPC contract from Damodar Valley Corporation for putting up a 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at DVC’s Maithon power plant site in Jharkhand. The contract includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning and 12-year comprehensive O&M, along with associated civil, structural and evacuation infrastructure works. The BESS installation is expected to come up within 18 months from the date of letter of award, Pace Digitek said in a stock exchange filing. The overall contract value of Rs.702 covers Rs.574 crore for supplies, Rs.57 crore for EPC works and Rs.71 crore for the 12-year O&M. (May 8, 2026)

 

Tata Power announced the signing of an amendment to its MoU with Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd to expand their clean energy collaboration in Bhutan. As per the original MoU dated November 19, 2024, the parties had decided to collaborate for the development of at least 4,500 MW hydropower projects in Bhutan. As per the amendment, a new 404 MW Nyera Amari I & II Integrated Hydropower Project has been identified and added to the existing project pipeline. With this, the total identified hydropower capacity under the partnership increases to 5,033 MW from 4,500 MW earlier, a release by Tata Power said. (May 8, 2026)

 

Bondada Engineering Ltd said that its unexecuted order book, as of March 31, 2026, was Rs.7,147.50 crore, representing around 2.5 times its FY26 revenue. Of this order book, Rs.4,536.70 crore came from the renewable energy segment, comprising EPC and IPP solar projects. Another Rs.1,463 crore was from BESS projects under the BOO model. The remaining was distributed across several verticals including railways, telecom, specialized engineering products, and the defence sector where Bondada has made a recent entry. (May 8, 2026)

 

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation announced the launch of 10+ next-generation innovations as part of its largest-ever portfolio showcase, reinforcing its commitment to powering India’s energy future. The launches covered four broad segments – Protection & Switchgear, Energy & New Energy, Automation & Digitization and Home & Building Technologies. Under the first category, new launches included the OMEGA UZ ACB (air circuit breaker) and the EXORA.N distribution board. (May 7, 2026)

 

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) recorded a monthly electricity traded volume of 12,341 MU (million units or million kWh or GWh) in April 2026, a 16.6 per cent increase year-on-year. A total of 1.18 lakh Renewable Energy Certificates were traded during the month, though REC volumes declined 59.4 per cent year-on-year. In the Day-Ahead Market, strong demand drove buy-bids up 31 per cent year-on-year, while sell-bids rose sharply by 35 per cent. Due to an increase in power demand, the average market clearing price stood at Rs.5.26 per kWh, a 1 per cent increase year-on-year.  (May 6, 2026)

 

The Royal Government of Bhutan and the World Bank, on May 5, 2026, signed financing agreements totaling $515 million for the upcoming 1,125-MW Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project in Bhutan, which is being implemented by Dorjilung Hydro Power Ltd (DHPL) — owned by Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation (60 per cent) and Tata Power (40 per cent). nearly 80 per cent of the 4,500 GWh annual generation from the Dorjilung HEP will be supplied to India. AMPIN Energy Transition has successfully commissioned around 500 MWp of ISTS-connected wind–solar hybrid capacity in Fatehgarh, Barmer, Rajasthan – marking its first integrated hybrid project. As AMPIN’s largest co-located hybrid project on the ISTS network, this milestone combines ~400 MWp of solar and ~100 MW of wind capacity to deliver reliable, round-the-clock green energy across state borders, a release by AMPIN said. The project supplies clean power to state discoms under SECI III & V, along with leading C&I customers. Commissioned at the Fatehgarh-IV substation, it also establishes a key renewable energy hub in Rajasthan, the release added.  (May 5, 2026)

 

NHPC Ltd, in a stock exchange communication, has declared commercial operation date (CoD) of Unit-4 of 250 MW of its 2,000-MW Subansiri Lower HE Project as May 8, 2026. The hydropower project comprising eight units of 2,000 MW, is spread over Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. With this, CoD for the first four units (Unit-1 to Unit-4) has been declared and that for the remaining four units will be intimated in due course, NHPC said. (May 5, 2026)

 

Calcom Vision Ltd has announced its entry into the solar-powered outdoor street lighting segment. The company’s solar outdoor lighting range will include All-in-One (AIO) Solar Street Lights, Semi-Integrated Street Lights, and Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Street Lights, along with streetlights, flood lights, and high bay lights, designed for outdoor infrastructure, industrial premises, and commercial applications. To support this expansion, Calcom Vision is doubling its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, from 15,000 sqm to 30,000 sqm. The company plans to manufacture 10,000–15,000 units of solar street lighting annually. The facility currently operates 11 SMT lines and 10 assembly lines and houses an in-house plastic extrusion plant and powder coating setup. (May 5, 2026)

 

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, part of Larsen & Toubro Ltd, has won an order from Bharat Coal Gasification & Chemicals Ltd (BCGCL), a joint venture of Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), for a Coal-to-Ammonia-Nitrate project in Odisha. The order, valued at between Rs.2,500 crore and Rs.5,000 crore, encompasses the development of the Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate Plant, to be executed on a Lump Sum Turnkey basis (LSTK Package-4) with single-point responsibility. The scope of work includes process licensing, basic design, detailed engineering, procurement and construction, encompassing mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, sustained load and performance guarantee test runs, overall project management and final handover of the plant and its facilities. Under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, India has set an ambitious target of achieving 100 million tonnes of coal gasification capacity by 2030. This mission aims to convert high-ash domestic coal into value-added products such as ammonium nitrate, methanol, ammonia, Synthetic Natural Gas and fertilisers, thereby reducing import dependence and strengthening India’s industrial self-reliance. Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPPTCL) has successfully installed and energised a new 200 MVA power transformer at the 220kV Manglia substation in Indore to ensure reliable and quality power supply for the Indore Metro Rail Project.  Following the installation of this power transformer, Indore city’s total transformation capacity has increased to 4,652 MVA, arising out of the 400kV Indore substation, supported by five 220kV and six 132kV substations. Alfa Transformers Ltd has received an order worth around Rs.3.79 crore from TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) for the supply of various types of distribution transformers. The supplies are expected to be made progressively up to April 2028, Bhubaneswar-headquartered Alfa Transformers said in a stock exchange filing. (May 4, 2026)

 

HPL Electric & Power Ltd has reported the winning of orders aggregating Rs.242.24 crore (inclusive of tax) for the supply of smart meters from a group of its leading customers that included GMR Group entities like GMR Triveni Smart Meters Ltd, GMR Kashi Smart Meters Ltd and GMR Agra Smart Meters Ltd. PFC Consulting Ltd (PFCCL), on April 30, 2026, announced that it has incorporated five wholly-owned subsidiaries that will house as many ISTS-TBCB schemes for which PFCCL has been named as bid process coordinator. The five SPVs are: Ananthpuram Transmission Ltd, Krishnagiri REZ Transmission Ltd, Jam Khambhaliya REZ Transmission Ltd, Lakadia A Power Transmission Ltd and Lakadia C Power Transmission Ltd. Coal India Ltd (CIL) has received a letter of award from Odisha state power utility Gridco Ltd for setting up a total of 80 MW/320 MWh BESS capacity in two clusters in Odisha. The first cluster includes two locations – Padampur and Bolangir – while the second consists of Bhatli and Basta. The BESS capacity, won at a tariff of Rs.3.04 lakh per MW (Cluster-1) and Rs.3.05 lakh per MW (Cluster-2) is expected to come up in 18 months from the signing of the BESPA, with an estimated investment of Rs.400 crore, CIL said in a regulatory filing. Bajel Projects Ltd has secured two international orders covering the construction of two contiguous sections of the 500kV overhead transmission lines. The project is part of a flagship national grid reinforcement programme aimed at strengthening the high-voltage backbone in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). The orders, with a combined value of over Rs.400 crore, further consolidate Bajel Projects’ position as a trusted international EPC partner in the high-voltage transmission segment, complementing its strong domestic order book and recent international wins. Jakson Infra has bagged a power distribution project from the Ministry of Energy & Water, Angola, under the World Bank-supported “Electricity Sector Improvement and Access Project (ESIAP)”. The value of the project is $62.22 million. The contract covers the design, supply, installation and commissioning for the rehabilitation of distribution networks in Luanda City, aimed at improving electricity reliability and access across the Angolan capital. The project involves end-to-end execution, including engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of distribution network systems, and is part of Angola’s broader efforts to expand electricity access and modernise its energy infrastructure. Hindustan Power has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for its proposed 2×800-MW power project at Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh. Post this, the power project will now proceed to the next stage, which includes detailed engineering and execution planning, subject to applicable approvals.  Hindustan Power had commissioned the first phase of the project – aggregating to 1,200 MW – between 2015 and 2016. Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TARIL] has announced the winning of an overseas order valued at around Rs.150 crore. Placed by PDC AK LPIV, LLC, the order involves manufacture of five transformers that are scheduled for delivery by mid-2027, a regulatory filing by TARIL said. (April 27, 2026)

 

Quality Power Equipments Ltd (QPE) has announced the winning of an overseas order for the supply of high voltage reactors. The order, placed by an undisclosed entity, will cater to a data centre project in the United States and is valued at around Rs.48.3 crore (excluding taxes). Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPPTCL) announced that it has replaced a 43-year old 20-MVA transformer at the 220kV Damoh substation in the namesake district, by a new 50-MVA one. With this, transformation capacity of the Damoh substation has risen to 650 MVA and that of the Damoh district to 1,083 MVA. This capacity augmentation will help provide more uninterrupted and dependable electricity supply in Damoh district as well as nearby areas, a release by MPPTCL said. (April 27, 2026)

TK Elevator has marked the commencement of the expansion project at its manufacturing facility at Chakan, in Pune district, Maharashtra, with a groundbreaking ceremony. The expansion will extend the existing facility by approximately 10,000 sqm to enhance production efficiency, while expanding warehousing and logistics capabilities. Construction has commenced, with the expanded facility scheduled to be operational by August 2027. Once completed, the additional capacity will support increased production volumes and provide greater flexibility to address evolving demand across India’s low-to-mid-rise segment, as well as infrastructure and commercial projects, TK Elevator said in a release. Larsen & Toubro Ltd announced that it has entered the B2B industrial electronics space with the commencement of industrial electronics manufacturing at its Coimbatore campus in Tamil Nadu. The new business vertical, christened “L&T Electronic Products & Systems (LTEPS)”, will be headquartered in Bengaluru, while the manufacturing operations will be based in Coimbatore. Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPPTCL) has commissioned an additional 50-MVA transformer at the 132kV GIS substation at E-8, Arera Colony, Bhopal.  Since this substation is on GIS technology, the space available was extremely limited, making the installation of an additional power transformer a complex and challenging task. With the addition of this transformer, the total capacity of the substation has increased to 70 MVA, which will play a crucial role in meeting the growing power demand of the capital city, MPPTCL said in a release. KP Energy Ltd has been granted an Inter-State Electricity Trading Licence (Category V) by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), the company said in a release. Eveready Industries India Ltd announced the inauguration of India’s only operating alkaline battery facility in Jammu. Advait Energy Transitions Ltd has landed an order worth Rs.27.74 crore from Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL). Evren, a platform launched by Brookfield in India as a joint venture with Axis Energy, announced it has secured around $600 million for the development of its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) hybrid project in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. The project, with an installed capacity of approximately 1 GW, integrates solar and wind power generation with a BESS.  Scheduled for commissioning in 2027, the project is expected to generate approximately 2,400 GWh annually, Evren said in a release. Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) in its “Corporate Plan – Vision 2030” unveiled on April 20, 2026, has outlined total capital expenditure of Rs.7,188.60 crore during the period 2026 to 2030. This would result, among other things, in gradual enhancement of ore mining capacity from 4.21 million tonnes per annum (tpa) in FY26 to 12.20 million tpa by FY30. Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has been declared as L1 bidder in a tender of Coal India for a turnkey EPC package for development of a 875 MW (AC) grid connected solar PV project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The total value of contract including O&M and taxes is around Rs.3,490 crore, SWREL said in a stock exchange filing. Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPPTCL) recently installed a 200 MVA transformer at the 220kV Chhatarpur substation, taking the substation’s total capacity to 643 MVA. This new transformer has also taken the total transformation capacity available in the Chhatarpur district to 1,096 MVA. The district is served by five 132kV substations and the 220kV Chhatarpur substation. Vikram Solar announced that it has crossed 10 GW in cumulative global solar module deployments, of which 5 GW has come in the last two years alone. While a majority of deployments are in India, Vikram Solar has steadily expanded its global footprint, with approximately 1.5 GW of exports contributing to its presence across 39 countries.  Vikram Solar has built 9.5 GW of module manufacturing capacity across West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The Precision Engineering business of Godrej Enterprises Group has contributed to Kalpakkam fast breeder reactor (FBR) criticality milestone by manufacturing and supplying the large rotating plug, small rotating plug, and the sodium pump shaft. These components combine large-scale fabrication with high-precision engineering. NTPC Ltd has signed a non-binding MoU with Électricité de France (EDF) to explore cooperation in developing new nuclear power projects in India.  The MoU establishes a framework for both companies to jointly assess the feasibility and approach for collaboration, including understanding EDF’s EPR technology and its suitability for Indian requirements, exploring opportunities to maximize localization for large-scale deployment, examining economic and tariff aspects, developing human resource capabilities through training programmes, evaluating potential project sites, and providing technical support as mutually agreed. The Energy Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has secured an order from Hexa Climate Solutions to develop a 98 MWp (70 MW AC) open-access solar power plant in Sirsa, Haryana.  Under the agreement, the Godrej’s Energy Solutions Business will execute turnkey execution of the project.  The project will employ bifacial TopCon modules with string inverters and integrate smart-monitoring technologies to optimise generation efficiency. Prostarm Info Systems Ltd has received a letter of award as sub-contractor from Solarium Green Energy Limited for execution of the complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for a 50-MWac solar PV power project in Maharashtra. Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) achieved highest ever electricity traded volume of 141 BU in FY26, registering an increase of 17 per cent over FY25. IEX also recorded highest-ever yearly trade of renewable energy certificates (REC) in FY26 with a total of 187.20 lakh RECs traded during the year, marking a 5 per cent year on year increase. For FY26, the Market Clearing Price in the Day-Ahead Market at Rs.3.86 per unit declined 13.7 per cent compared to FY25. Similarly, the Market Clearing Price in the Real-Time Market at Rs.3.59 per unit FY26 declined 16 per cent compared to FY25, a release by IEX said. (April 6, 2026)

 

Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd has won an order worth Rs.100.54 crore (inclusive of tax) from Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd for the supply of assorted sizes of HT cables. Diamond Power also announced the winning of a Rs.43.26-crore supply order from an undisclosed entity for various sizes of power and control cables meant for a thermal power project at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Power Mech Projects Ltd has received a four-year contract from Hindustan Zinc Ltd for comprehensive O&M of the 91.5-MW captive power plant and transmission line up to the main receiving substation (MRSS). Advait Energy Transition Ltd has won a 150 MW/300 MWh BESS project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) in Gujarat under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mechanism, quoting Rs.2.10 lakh per MW per month. The project is expected to come up within 18 months from signing of the battery energy storage purchase agreement (BESPA). Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has received an order worth over Rs.13,500 crore (excluding GST) from NTPC Ltd for complete EPC works related to NTPC’s upcoming 3×800-MW Telangana Stage-II supercritical power plant in Pedapalli district, Telangana. The order, won in an international competitive bidding process and to be executed in 62 months, includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and testing of the main plant package (boiler, turbine & generator), including civil and structural works, BHEL said in a stock exchange filing. Jyoti Structures Ltd (JSL) has received an order worth Rs.88.33 crore (excluding GST) from Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) for 220kV/110kV transmission line modification works for the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. The order entails design, engineering, manufacturing, testing at manufacturer’s work, supply of all line material/equipment, survey, soil investigation, foundation & erection of towers and monopoles, stringing, testing and commissioning on LSTK basis. Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPPTCL) has installed higher-capacity 50 MVA power transformer at the 132kV Jaura substation, replacing the existing 20 MVA transformer. Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Ltd (TBWES), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thermax Ltd, has secured a boiler package supply order valued at approximately Rs.1,600-crore from an undisclosed thermal power projects company in Central India for a 1×800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant. The scope of work includes manufacturing, supply, supervision of installation and commissioning, as well as performance testing of the boiler package. Quality Power Equipments Ltd (QPE) has announced that its step-down international subsidiary ENDOKS ENERJİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (ENDOKS) has received an order from an undisclosed client for supply and integration of battery energy storage system (BESS). The order worth Rs.152 crore, which could optionally increase to Rs.292 crore, is to be executed by December 2027. IndoBell Insulations Ltd, in a stock exchange filing, said that it has received an export order valued at $185,100 from GE Vernova Parts & Products GmbH, Switzerland, for the supply of steam turbine insulation – blanket therm. Loom Solar said that it has achieved two significant milestones—crossing 1 lakh (100,000) customers installations and securing pan-India vendor registration under the Government of India’s flagship PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Ceigall India Ltd has executed two 25-year PPAs through its wholly-owned subsidiaries with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) on March 24, 2026. The agreements cover the development of solar PV projects with combined capacity of 337 MW under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0), spread over six districts of the state. The two projects will have capacities of 190 MW and 147 MW respectively, and will have respective EPC contract value of Rs.772 crore and Rs.597 crore. Suzlon Group has won an order from GAIL (India) Ltd to supply a wind power project of around 100 MW capacity, which will support GAIL’s decarbonization efforts at the upcoming petrochemical plant at Nandurbar in Maharashtra. Under the order, Suzlon will install 47 units of its S120 wind turbines, each with 2.1-MW rated capacity. This is the fifth order placed by GAIL on Suzlon. WattPower has enhanced the annual manufacturing capacity of solar inverters at its Chennai plant from 10 GW to 11 GW.  Over the past years, the company has supplied a total of 24 GW of utility-scale string inverters, supporting solar deployments across large-scale projects and distributed energy installations, a release from WattPower said. Patel Engineering Ltd has received the letter of award (LoA) from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL) for the prestigious Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1), valued at Rs.910.08 crore including GST. The project, located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, is scheduled to be completed within 30 months. Under this package, Patel Engineering will undertake the construction of three major diversion tunnels, each with a diameter of 9.5m and extending 1.3 km to 1.6 km. The works also encompass the creation of inlet and outlet structures for these tunnels, development of approximately 6 km of approach and access roads, and installation of advanced hydro-mechanical systems. Adani Power Ltd (APL) has received an LoA from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the supply of 1,600 MW of power from one of its upcoming ultra-supercritical thermal power projects. Adani Power emerged as the lowest-tariff bidder in an MSEDCL auction, offering electricity at a combined tariff of Rs.5.30 per kWh, under a 25-year PSA set to commence in FY31. Adani Power has now tied-up long-term PSAs of 13.3 GW out of its 23.8 GW under-implementation pipeline. The Adani Group entity is expanding its power generation capacity from the current 18.15 GW to 41.87 GW by FY31-32, with investments of around Rs.2 trillion, a release from APL said. Waaree Energies Ltd, on March 14, 2026, conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming integrated solar ingot and wafer manufacturing facility at Butibori, Nagpur. Spread across 300 acres and being developed with an investment of approximately Rs.6,200 crore, the facility will house 10 GW capacity each for solar ingots and wafers, which form the critical foundation of the solar photovoltaic value chain. Indo Tech Transformers Ltd, in a regulatory disclosure, said that Renew Wind Energy (Jamb) Pvt Ltd, part of the Renew Group, has cancelled an order placed upon Indo Tech, citing project delay as the reason. The order, placed in January 2026, involved supply of six 220kV, 160 MVA transformers. Indo Tech said that there was no material impact of this cancellation as manufacturing of these transformers had not started. KEC International Ltd has announced new order wins worth Rs.1,476 crore taking its FY26 cumulative order inflow to around Rs.22,800 crore. The new orders include a composite order for 380kV transmission lines, substations and EHV cabling in Saudi Arabia; 132kV transmission lines in Africa; supply of towers in India and the Americas; and supply of hardware and poles in the Americas, a release from KEC International said. TrueRE Oriana Power has won an EPC tender for a 234-MW grid-tied floating solar PV power project in Jharkhand from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The project, located at the Maithon Dam Reservoir in Jharkhand, is the largest floating solar project in the state, a release from TurRE Oriana Power said. The project, awarded through a competitive tender process floated by DVC, also includes a 10-year O&M contract. Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) achieved monthly electricity traded volume of 12,550 MU (million units or million kWh or GWh) in February 2026, marking a 30.4 per cent increase on year-on-year basis. A total of 18.86 lakh Renewable Energy Certificates were traded during the month, marking a 15.2 per cent year-on-year increase, IEX said in a release. Despite the increase in energy consumption, prices on power exchanges were lower compared to previous year due to higher supply liquidity on the exchange platform. These prices presented an opportunity for Discoms and Commercial & Industrial consumers to meet their demand at a competitive price and to replace their costlier power by procuring through exchanges, the release added. KEC International Ltd has announced the winning of new orders worth Rs.1,002 crore, taking the cumulative FY26 inflow to around Rs.21,300 crore. They include, among others, a composite order 220/132kV transmission lines, substations and EHV cabling in India. Also included is an international order for building a 400kV transmission line. Moxie Power Generation Ltd (MPGL), a subsidiary of Adani Power Ltd, has received a letter of award from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL) for supply of 558 MW (net) of power for a period of five years. Moxie Power operates a 1,200-MW (2×600-MW) power plant in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. It emerged as the lowest bidder in a tightly contested bid by offering a tariff of Rs.5.910 per kWh, with supply starting April 1, 2026, a release by Adani Power said. (February 24, 2026)

 

Vikram Solar Ltd, in a stock exchange communication, said that on February 20, 2026, it entered into a strategic domestic cell procurement agreement with Jupiter International Ltd to procure high efficiency TopCon solar cells and high efficiency mono PERC solar cells aggregating to 2 GW of ALMM-compliant crystalline solar cells. Sharika Enterprises Ltd, in a stock exchange disclosure, said that it has won two purchase orders from LS Cable India Pvt Ltd for supply of 24F/48F OPGW cable. The orders, with aggregate value of the orders is Rs.2.80 crore. The larger of the two orders valued at Rs.2.13 crore is to be supplied in four weeks, while the smaller one is to be fulfilled by March 15, 2026, the stock exchange filing said. Nextpower has announced its second major commercial order for US-manufactured steel module frames, entering into a multi-year supply agreement with Jinko Solar (U.S.) Industries Inc. Under the agreement, Nextpower plans to supply more than 1 GW of steel frames, scalable to up to 3 GW over a three-year period, to support module manufacturing in Jinko Solar’s Jacksonville, Fla. facility, with production expected mid-2026.  For developers, US-made steel frames add six per cent to a tracker project’s domestic content calculation, according to US Treasury Department guidance, a release by Nextpower said. Torrent Power Ltd has entered into a definitive agreement with L&T Power Development Ltd (L&TPDL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. to acquire 100 per cent of equity stake and convertible instruments in Nabha Power Ltd (NPL) – a wholly-owned subsidiary of L&TPDL, for an enterprise value of Rs.6,889 crore. NPL operates a 2×700-MW supercritical coal-fired power plant, commissioned in 2014, at Rajpura in Patiala district, Punjab. Upon completion of the acquisition, Torrent Power’s operational capacity will increase from around 5 GW to 6.4 GW.  (February 16, 2026)

 

Rajesh Power Services Ltd (RPSL) has signed a joint venture agreement with VITS Total Power Solutions Pvt Ltd for the formation of a joint venture entity under name of “RPSL -VITS JV” for design, supply, erection, testing & commissioning of a 132kV transmission line from GSS Nabinagar to Railway TSS Nabinagar and two associated 132kV line bays at GSS Nabinagar under Railway Project Danapur of East Central Railway. Delton Cables Ltd announced that its order book, as of December 31, 2025, stood at Rs.694 crore. Hartek’s Power Systems business unit has secured cumulative orders worth Rs.735 crore across the utility (PSU), independent power producer (IPP), and industrial segments, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth in power system engineering and execution, the company said in a release.  The projects span key power and industrial hubs across India and cover substation and transmission infrastructure ranging from 66kV to 765kV. These high-capacity projects are expected to strengthen regional and interstate transmission networks, enhance grid reliability, and enable efficient power evacuation, the release added. Pace Digitek Ltd has received a letter of award from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd for the development of a RE project at Pavagada Solar Park, Tumkuru district, Karnataka. The project involves setting up a 250 MW (AC) solar PV power project integrated with a 250 MW/1,100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Ryapte. The project was won under tariff-based bidding. The Interim tariff of Rs.5.51 per kWh (with VGF) has been adopted by Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC). The project has a gestation of 18 months and a 25-year operations’ period. With this project, Pace Digitek’s consolidated order book now stands at around Rs.10,243 crore, including Rs.7,779 crore in the energy segment — solar EPC, BESS, solar+BESS, and balance-of-system projects. Jupiter International Ltd has commissioned a new 1-GW mono PERC solar cell manufacturing unit at Baddi, Solan district, Himachal Pradesh. With this, the company’s solar cell capacity now stands at nearly 2 GW per year. The new unit has been developed by Jupiter International’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Jupiter Solartech Pvt Ltd.  Jupiter International is also planning to put up another 1.25 GW TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cell line, a company release said. GREW Solar has announced that its G12R High Power solar module has been included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.  The ALMM approval for 3 GW of G12R manufacturing capacity validates that the module meets rigorous quality and performance standards. This approval makes the G12R module eligible for use in government, open access, and net metering solar power projects in India. Meanwhile, as part of its expansion plans, the company is scaling its M10/ M10 R and G12R module manufacturing from its existing 6.5 GW capacity to reach 11 GW by 2026, a release by GREW Solar said. Ceigall India Ltd, on February 9, 2026, received a letter of award (LOA) from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) for the development of Unit 1 (220 MW) at Morena Solar Park, Madhya Pradesh. The project, awarded under tariff-based bidding, comprises a 220-MW solar power project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The tariff quoted for the project is Rs.2.70 per kWh, with an approximate project value of Rs.1,700 crore (including GST). Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has received a letter of intent from Hindalco Industries Ltd for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, commissioning and performance guarantee test for 2×150-MW boiler, turbine-generator (BTG) package, to be installed at Lapanga in Sambalpur district, Odisha. The order is valued between Rs.1,200 crore to Rs.1,500 crore (excluding GST). The first unit is expected to commission within 35 months, and the second, in two months thereafter. Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has successfully commissioned a 198-MW wind energy project for Tata Steel under the group captive model in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The project comprises 55 wind turbine generators of 3.6 MW each and is designed to generate 31 million units of clean electricity annually. One of the key highlights of this project is the strategic unbundling of the scope into multiple packages, all of which were executed directly by TPREL. Larsen & Toubro Ltd, in a release, said that the company’s “Infrastructure Projects” segment recorded an order inflow of Rs.61,876 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, registering a year-on-year growth of 26 per cent. International orders accounted for 55 per cent of the total order inflow for the quarter aided by receipt of high-value orders in the Power Transmission & Distribution and Renewables businesses. Both power distribution companies of Bihar — North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (SBPDCL) — have been awarded ‘A’ Grade in the 14th Integrated Rating and Ranking of Power Distribution Utilities. NBPDCL recorded an integrated score of 82.02, earning an ‘A’ Grade in the national assessment. The utility has secured an impressive 13th rank among all power distribution utilities in the country and 7th rank among state discoms. SBPDCL achieved an integrated score of 67.37, also securing an ‘A’ Grade at the national level. The utility has been ranked 20th among all DISCOMs and 12th among state discoms, marking a clear upgrade from its previous ‘B-‘ Grade, an official release said. (January 24, 2026)

 

World Bank has approved and sanctioned long-term financing for the 1,125-MW Dorjilung Hydropower Project, jointly owned by Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation (60 per cent) and Tata Power (40 per cent).  It will be Bhutan’s largest hydropower project to be developed under the PPP model and is expected to generate over 4,500 GWh of electricity annually. About 80 per cent of the annual electricity generation will be supplied to India. Tata Power Trading Company Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, will be responsible for importing the power into India and managing its onward distribution. (January 23, 2026)

 

SAEL Industries Ltd has commissioned its 1-GWp solar power project at the world’s largest Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat. With this, SAEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has crossed 2 GWp. The project has been developed through subsidiaries SAEL Solar P4 Pvt Ltd and SAEL Solar P5 Pvt Ltd and is backed by 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has officially commissioned the nation’s first 315 MVA, 400/220/33kV synthetic ester oil-filled power transformer, the Central PSU said in a release. Unveiled at the Bhiwadi substation in Rajasthan, the unit is the largest of its kind in India by both capacity and voltage class. By replacing traditional mineral oil with a biodegradable synthetic ester fluid, the Maharatna PSU is establishing a new benchmark for fire safety and environmental sustainability in the country’s high-voltage transmission network, the release said. Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has announced the winning of an order worth Rs.102.75 crore from an undisclosed for EPC execution of a ground-mounted solar power project of 25 MWac/35 MWp on turnkey basis. Supreme Power Equipment Ltd, in a stock exchange filing, announced the winning of an order valued at Rs.17.89 crore for the supply of four power transformers from an undisclosed Karnataka-based EPC contractor. The order entails supply of 20 MVA, 66/11kV and 110/11kV power transformers and is scheduled for completion in around nine months. (January 13, 2026)

 

Power Finance Corporation Ltd is planning a public issue of secured, rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debentures. The base issue size is Rs.500 crore with a green shoe option of up to Rs.4,500 crore, aggregating up to Rs. 5,000 crore. This “Tranche I” Issue opens on Friday, January 16, 2026, and closes on Friday, January 30, 2026.  Out of the net proceeds of the Tranche I Issue, at least 75 per cent shall be utilised for the purpose of onward lending, financing / refinancing the existing indebtedness of the company, etc. (January 13, 2026)

 

Indo Tech Transformers Ltd, a subsidiary of Shirdi Sai Electricals Ltd, has received an order from Renew Wind Energy (Jamb) Pvt Ltd for the supply of six 220kV, 165 MVA transformers. Valued at Rs.64.99 crore (exclusive of taxes), the order will be fulfilled between February 2027 and May 2027, Indo Tech said in a stock exchange disclosure. (January 9, 2026)

Saatvik Green Energy Ltd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Saatvik Cleantech EPC Pvt Ltd, has secured an order worth Rs.20.84 crore from an undisclosed solar developer for a comprehensive EPC project. The contract, encompassing design, engineering, procurement, supply, testing, and commissioning of a solar power project, is scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2026. (January 9, 2026)

 

Power Mech Projects Ltd has announced the winning of a 250 MW/1000 MWh BESS project to be set up at Goaltore, Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal, under the BOO model. The project, awarded by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL), also involves a greenshoe option of 250 MW/1,000 MWh BESS at the Durgapur Project Ltd (DPL) campus, Durgapur, West Bengal. The project is expected to be set up in 18 months and has a concession period of 15 years (180 months). The project was awarded to a consortium having PM Green Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Power Mech Projects Ltd, as lead member. (January 9, 2026)

 

Promax Power Ltd has announced the winning of an order from Karnataka state discom Hubli Electricity Supply Company Ltd (HESCOM) for setting up a 6-MW grid-connected solar power project on BOO basis, under the RESCO model. Under the agreement, HESCOM will purchase power from the solar plant at Rs.2.97 per kWh, inclusive of taxes. The total revenue accruing to Promax Power over the 25-year contract period would be in the range of Rs.70 crore to Rs.75 crore, subject to actual generation, Promax said in a regulatory filing. Hartek Power, in a release, said that it has secured an EPC contract worth Rs.353.77 crore for a 280 MW AC / 410 MWp DC solar PV project, along with an 80 MW / 320 MWh battery energy storage system at Challakere in Karnataka.  The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of the project, along with one year of operations and maintenance. For Hartek, it reinforces the company’s ability to execute large, technically advanced projects across geographies, while supporting India’s broader energy transition goals, the release said. Chennai-based Supreme Power Equipment Ltd has announced the winning of an order valued at Rs.25.70 crore placed by an undisclosed EPC company in Karnataka. The mandate is to supply ten power transformers of 20 MVA, 110/33-11/kV and is scheduled for completion in around 12 months. (January 7, 2026)

 

Delta Electronics India has announced an agreement to supply 100 units of its ‘Make-in-India’ 1.1 MW bi-directional Power Conditioning Systems (PCS) — a total of 110 MW—to Prostarm Info Systems Ltd’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across India, including certain undertakings by Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd (BSPGCL) & Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML).  The bi-directional PCS units (totaling 110 MW) will be deployed by Prostarm across multiple projects, including Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd’s (AEML) 11 MW/22 MWh BESS project in Mumbai, and standalone BESS projects being developed on BESSPD (Battery Energy Storage Solution Power Developer) mode by Prostarm in Bihar, a release by Delta Electronics said. KEC International Ltd has reported the winning of new orders worth Rs.1,050 crore across its various business verticals, taking the cumulative order inflow in FY26 to around Rs.19,300 crore, the RPG Group company said in a release. The new orders include a balance of plant (BoP) mandate for a 100+ MW wind farm in south India, as well as supply of transmission towers and poles in the Americas. The new mandates also include a domestic supply order for transmission towers and poles. (January 1, 2026)
