Siemens has said that its order backlog, as of March 31, 2022, stood at an all-time high level of Rs.17,174 crore.

In a release, Siemens said that this order backlog provides revenue visibility for the next 18 months.

During the quarter ending March 31, 2022, Siemens’ new order inflow was Rs.5,339 crore, which was 61.4 per cent higher than the same period of 2021.

Sunil Mathur, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd, said, “All our businesses have booked strong growth in order income reflecting a clear upswing in both public and private capex spending with high value orders being booked in our Mobility segment.

Revenues and profitability have been impacted as a result of global supply chain challenges leading to delays in deliveries and increase in commodity and logistic costs. We expect revenue growth to pick up in subsequent quarters.”

Meanwhile, Siemens posted revenue of Rs.3568 crore in the quarter ending March 31, 2022, representing a 8.2 per cent increase year-on-year.

Note: The quarter ending March 31, 2022 represents the second quarter for the company’s ongoing fiscal year that will end on September 30, 2022.
