Skipper Ltd has recorded new order inflow of Rs.4,649 crore during the first nine months (9M: April to December) of FY26, marking a year-on-year growth of 24 per cent.

During the third quarter (Q3: October to December) of FY26, Skipper saw new order inflows of Rs.1,428.6 crore, largely driven by engineering products supply and EPC works across domestic and international markets.

In Q3FY26, Skipper secured two prestigious 765kV transmission line projects from PGCIL in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, contributing significantly to the Q3FY26 order inflows.

As of December 2025, the company’s unexecuted order book was Rs.9,093 crore (around $1 billion), comprising 90 per cent domestic and 10 per cent export mandates. The share of non power-T&D items in the overall order book stood at around 12 per cent. [Such items cover telecom railway, solar, water EPC, and steel structural items not used in power T&D.]

It may be mentioned that Skipper Ltd has three business divisions – engineering products, infrastructure, and polymer. Power T&D-related activities fall under the first two.

Skipper is currently executing around 5,000 ckm of EHV and HVDC transmission line work.

Shift towards high-value projects

Commenting on the company’s Q3FY26 performance, Sharan Bansal, Executive Director, Skipper Ltd, said, “Q3 represents another decisive step in Skipper’s earnings compounding journey. Delivering our highest-ever quarterly revenue and EBITDA reflects the structural improvements we have made across project quality, execution discipline and capacity readiness. Margin expansion this quarter is a direct outcome of our strategic shift towards higher complexity and higher value T&D projects.”

Capacity expansion

During FY26, Skipper commissioned additional 75,000 tonnes per year transmission tower manufacturing capacity that will enable the company to target fast-track export orders and short-cycle demand. Skipper’s current transmission tower manufacturing capacity stands at 3,75,000 tonnes per year and is spread across three units — all located in Kolkata. Capacity utilization currently stands at 85 per cent, underscoring strong demand momentum, the company said.

Further capacity expansion of 75,000 tonnes per year is currently underway taking the total capacity to 4,50,000 tonnes per year, by end of FY26.

In an earlier communication, Skipper had indicated that it was targeting 6,00,000 tonnes per year capacity by FY28, which could potentially place the company as the world’s largest transmission tower manufacturer.
