Skipper Ltd has recorded its highest ever order inflow in any fiscal year, in FY25. Besides, its annual closing order book was also the highest ever.
In a release, Skipper Ltd said that it received new orders worth Rs.5,335 crore in FY25 (April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025) that was the highest in any fiscal year so far. Relative to FY24, order inflows in FY25 were 24 per cent higher.
The order inflows in FY25 reflected strong traction in both the domestic and exports markets, the release noted.
In FY25, Skipper received its first substation EPC order. “This move strategically enhances out capability portfolio and positions us to offer more integrated solutions in the power transmission ecosystem,” noted Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Ltd.
Speaking of overseas mandates, Skipper, in FY25, received its first major pole supply order from the USA. Terming this as a significant breakthrough it opens new growth avenues in North America, the release said.
Of the total FY25 order inflow, 71 per cent represented domestic power T&D orders, while 17 per cent was accounted for by non-power T&D domestic mandates that included telecom, railways, solar, water EPC and other steel structural items. The remaining 12 per cent came from export mandates relating to both power T&D and non-power T&D.
As of March 31, 2025, Skipper’s outstanding order book was around Rs.7,458 crore – again the highest-ever closing order book in any fiscal. Skipper said that this outstanding order book position had 88 per cent of domestic mandates.
“With 88 per cent of the order book from domestic markets, we remain deeply aligned with India’s infrastructure growth and the Government’s transmission expansion initiatives under the National Electricity Policy,” said Sharan Bansal.
Skipper Ltd has three business divisions – engineering products, infrastructure, and polymer. Power T&D-related activities fall under the first two.
The Skipper release also noted that the capacity addition plan of 75,000 tonnes per year in the engineering segment is progressing as scheduled. Trial production has begun and a portion of the new capacity has already been commissioned.
The full capacity is expected to come on stream by May 2025, and it will take Skipper total capacity of 3.75 lakh tonnes per year.
