Sterlite Power acquires Kishtwar transmission project from PFC

Sterlite Power has formally acquired project SPV “Kishtwar Transmission Ltd” from the bid process coordinator PFC Consulting Ltd (PFCCL)

In a release, Sterlite Power said that it has acquired from PFCCL the project SPV that will develop the Kishtwar power transmission project in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

Sterlite Power had won this project under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route in March 2022. (read more)

Sterlite Power will build, own, operate and maintain this critical transmission project in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) for a period of 35 years.

The project comprises a 400/132kV GIS substation at Kishtwar and the 400kV Kishenpur-Dulhasti LILO (Line in Line out) transmission line. The transmission system will be used for evacuation of 1,000 mw of power from Pakaldul hydropower to the Kishtwar substation.

 

The Kishtwar project is Sterlite Power’s 17th power transmission project in India under the TBCB mode.
