To promote the usage of energy-efficient products among its customer base, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (Tata Power-DDL) has announced the launch of a one-stop-shop Smart Energy Shoppe counter.

With this, Tata Power-DDL, according to a company release, becomes the first distribution utility to set up a dedicated counter to offer its customers a wide range of energy efficient products and energy management solutions to choose from, in collaboration with renowned brands like Crompton, Havells, Halonix, Philips, Voltas, Sharp etc.

Smart Energy Shoppe aims to offer its customers a wide range of energy efficient products and energy management solutions, at prices that are up to 65 per cent lower than market prices. The scheme is open for all consumer segments, with no restrictions on quantum of purchase.

The power utility serving a population of 7 million in north Delhi has been encouraging its customers to opt for sustainable alternatives as a part of its energy conservation initiative. These energy management solutions provide customers with the ability to do their part in reducing unnecessary electricity wastage with minimal effort and Tata Power DDLexpense. Under its product portfolio, the company has a broad spectrum of energy-efficient products including BLDC ceiling fans, LED lighting, energy-efficient air conditioners, smart switches, ELCBs, air purifiers, etc. All these products are available exclusively for Tata Power-DDL customers at up to 65 per cent discount over market prices.

Speaking on the scheme, Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO, Tata Power-DDL said, “Consumer Experience and Value Creation is an important pillar of our vision. In line with the same, it becomes essential to educate consumers about energy and its optimum usage, and the necessary steps they should take to gain control over their electricity bills. We at Tata Power-DDL, not only believe in supplying non-stop power, but also in adoption of green technologies and contributing towards energy conservation for the environmental good, promoting energy-efficient appliances and products is just another step in the same direction.”

Currently, Tata Power DDL’s Energy Shoppe has been put up at five customer care centres —Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Civil Lines, Moti Nagar and Keshavpuram.
